Well this women's draw has been full of surprises. Such a happy smile at the end! Never underestimate any Chinese player, their tenacity is hard to match. I am happy to see more and more of them!

Gauff has the best movement and defense in women’s game. Will be tough for Yuan, she never go to the net. Good news is her forehand can do much damage to coco. We shall see
Juan played great. I love Dasha, she has an amazing game, I think she is an underrated player sometimes. She has an amazing talent, she has beaten some of the world top players over the yrs and Coco 3 times. But I agree that her serve has to change, it is the only thing I think that sometimes let's her down, if that improves, I think it will give her more confidence and she will win more. 😍
Man Dasha's serve are killing me mentally in the last 5 years.🤦♂️ I think she has the slowest 1st & second, (but especially second) serves combined from top-50 players. If she would somehow chenge her approach to first serve at least and make it not 150km/h- but at least stabil 170+, she wouldn't be loosing so many matches in 3 sets. Yes she is a fighter and she runs to every ball possible, but she gets older,+ not so fast as she was+her stamina is weaker than before, so in 3rd set only errors from her opponents could make her win the match. But lately, girls from top-50 play more aggressive than tired Daria and she lost like 4th match in a row in 3 sets. Or 4 from 5 last mstches. She is like Rublev- stopped and not growing her level anymore. So without making adjustments to her serve, she will fall out from top-20 or this or next year and it would be only downhill.((

I watched Kasatkina vlogs since it was only in Russian, since episode one. And Anna was like in 4 or 5 of them, ah and Nastia Pavliuchenkova is always funny and a good person as well. But Dasha's style of game is literally a heart stopping every time. 5 years ago she was flying on the court, now her youth speed & mobility goes away, so without any natural power, I think in 2 years time by the end of 2025, she will be like top-30 player and then with every year she will be lower & lower with 5-10 positions((. No matter how good a fighter she is, today is the age of powerful girls in tennis. I always think that Dasha's style is very like Hingis style of playing. She should have been born in the 1970 cause in the early 90's she would have battled for Nr-1 spot with Graff and Seles and later with Hingis.😉 Back then, the speed of the ball & movement were much slower and it would have suited her perfectly.)

I thought they were warming up. It didn't look like they playing to make it into quarter finals. One was trying to get the points and hit too hard resulted in errors while the other one was standing there returning the balls expecting errors
@Kasatkina needs to work on 2 things; 1. Mental toughness. Once a game goes beyond 2 sets, she becomes weak, frustrated, slower and less intense. She needs to know how to endure and stay on fire even when it's not going her way 2. Her serves are terrible. She needs to learn the serves of Naomi Osaka & Emma Navarro. Her serves sell her big time 3. She should practice running around the course more like Sabalenka or if she has to stay stay stable, she should master how to strategically position the ball like Sloane Stephens
Great match but Kasa should have bagged this match. But it's great seeing new talent break thru. Both played great. Kasa should be winning Grand Slams but can't seem to break into top 10.

Yuan groundstrokes just so different with other players. They bounces very high and are very unusual. The girls got used to flat and fast groundstrokes got problems to deal with it. Lost their rhythm. Lets see how Coco would deal with this. Coco doesn't like rally. She likes to attack fast and furious. Lets see whether the high bouncing Yuan's shots could impact Coco's rhythm or not
why hire these idiots to say things like “she gets back on level terms” & “she kept going at her backhand until she got the error.” it’s like a lifeguard saying “you’re swimming now” every 10 seconds. WE KNOW! WE’RE WATCHING THE SAME MATCH!

Daria is more about control,,spin, placement, variety and defense.. but she kinda of lost her strategy I think today.
