Hey , Achume ntombhi there are those grand mothers ke bazothi they dont want tea with milk Ihad to deal with such,by that time your have already done prepared it😔,there I must return it back😭. I have experienced different things there. Lucky enough I couldn't get to cook Meat On fire out side with those big pots😉, thats not my thing ke ! I was happy that I couldn't get closer to the fire😊. But washing the Dieshes yoooooo that was hectic for me ! I ended told my Mother in law that I havent sleep last night cause We arrived At free State on the 30th Dec around 12afternoon & I was the one who was driving cause we had only 2 Cars , it was my father's Car and my Car so no body had a Driver's license to help me. We departed Eastern Cape at 2am .so on our arrival they wellcomed us and I was toke to the room where i was supposed to be keeped in. We sat I was given ikhukhu to sit behind the Door as Makoti I sat there from 1PM till 18:30pm I wasn't supposed to go outside I had to be in that room till the following day, at 7PM They gave me water to take shower and eat from there I sat with the elders till 11pm ,I went to bed at 11:30pm and by 2am I was up talking my sistet to Catch a Bus at Altra City as she wanted to go back Easter Cape her bus was departing at 3am from Altracity to Bloemfontein then from blom she was supposed to book another bus to E Cape.it was at 4am when I get back from Altracity and I was told to take bath at 5am and get ready to be given a new clothes as Makoti. People started to arrived at 6am then I was dressed up at 7am from there I was given the New Name, they told me things I must do and not , They told me that I must feel free as Iam now the owner of the House ! That's means Iam incharge of everything around the house.!🙆♀️,Ihv being busy cooking making some Salad and other things especially tea for people 😒, I told my mother in law I need to take a nap and rest as I haven't rest enough, she said people will keep on coming and they would like to se me ! I told her I can't stand longer anymore my back it's so painful and my feet got solen especially when I stood so long , she told me to go to sleep on her Bed room but I must hide my self behind so that People wont look for me around ,😅 I laid on the Floor between the Bed and headboard. She said people would be coming &want to see Me !&she said she would just tell them that they would have to be back after after 3hours . Makoti is not feeling well.thats how I survived from making tea and serving people's the entire day. I get up at 5PM taking bath and it was already later and some people were gone to their houses as it was on the 31th , I only remain with fer family members and my in laws. People were drinking and no body cares about tea😆 ,I get some time chilled with my husband'...

As for the tea making part 🙆🏽♀️ I never 'expectedid lol'. Lucky for me there were really not that many people with prefences but when I went to the funeral recently, I saw teas that I've never seen before 😅 But ke all becomes easier when we do it in love 😊 #ElenemFam ❤️

We sat I was given ikhukhu to sit behind the Door as Makoti I sat there from 1PM till 18:30pm I wasn't supposed to go outside I had to be in that room till the following day, at 7PM They gave me water to take shower and eat from there I sat with the elders till 11pm ,I went to bed at 11:30pm and by 2am I was up talking my sistet to Catch a Bus at Altra City as she wanted to go back Easter Cape her bus was departing at 3am from Altracity to Bloemfontein then from blom she was supposed to book another bus to E Cape.it was at 4am when I get back from Altracity and I was told to take bath at 5am and get ready to be given a new clothes as Makoti. People started to arrived at 6am then I was dressed up at 7am from there I was given the New Name, they told me things I must do and not , They told me that I must feel free as Iam now the owner of the House ! That's means Iam incharge of everything around the house.!🙆♀️,Ihv being busy cooking making some Salad and other things especially tea for people 😒, I told my mother in law I need to take a nap and rest as I haven't rest enough, she said people will keep on coming and they would like to se me ! I told her I can't stand longer anymore my back it's so painful and my feet got solen especially when I stood so long , she told me to go to sleep on her Bed room but I must hide my self behind so that People wont look for me around ,😅 I laid on the Floor between the Bed and headboard. She said people would be coming &want to see Me !&she said she would just tell them that they would have to be back after after 3hours . Makoti is not feeling well.thats how I survived from making tea and serving people's the entire day. I get up at 5PM taking bath and it was already later and some people were gone to their houses as it was on the 31th , I only remain with fer family members and my in laws. People were drinking and no body cares about tea😆 ,I get some time chilled with my husband'...
Thank you for sharing your story. Ukukotiza is really not the easiest thing to do. I'm so glad your mother inlaw was so understanding and allowed you to rest.
As for the tea making part 🙆🏽♀️ I never 'expectedid lol'. Lucky for me there were really not that many people with prefences but when I went to the funeral recently, I saw teas that I've never seen before 😅
But ke all becomes easier when we do it in love 😊 #ElenemFam ❤️
