    i got this same gpu and i was sceptical about going zotac, but man, both my last 2 rog strix gpus had coilwhine, my girls radeon 6800xt too, my 2080super gigabyte gaming oc also had it, but this absolutely NOTHING, runs really cool, pulls at most 240-250w while my old 3080 pulled 330-350w in most games, performs GREAT in 3440x1440p, im really amazed by zotac, they've really stepped up their quality in the last 2-3 years.
    on average around 10-20 fps better than my old 3080, in some cases 20-25fps. Noticeable increase. Pretty much matching my friends 3090ti in most games @3440x1440p, and thats while his 3090ti pulls 360-380w while mine casually strolls at 230-240w lol.

    I've heard people complain about coil whine and increased fan noise with Zotac 4000 series. Amp extreme is usually the best of the best of any of the partners. I've had a stock 2070 Amp extreme that out benchmarked any stock 2080, but I would probably do your own research this time around. Zotac seems like a riskier than usual choice this generation. edit: I should mention that the anti sag bracket only works with standard ATX size and larger boards.

      i can't hear any coil whine from this card. Sometime coil whine could be caused by the power spike (usually 70-100% than rated power). I'm using corsair rm850x and this card only consume 200-230w avg ( assume power spikes would be 500w). I think a better power supply may reduce coil whine for any card but it's not guarantee.

      @shperax ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@4qao I find the gigabyte eagle cards very good for the price. They have exceptional OC headroom. zero coil noise. The only con I would say it the size. They are significantly bigger then the PCB in all directions. However they come with the best anti sag bracket on the market. its more work to install then just having a prop up piece, but looks VERY clean.

      from a forum with over 200 gpus entries, zotac and gigabyte are 40xx brands with least coilwhine. msi and asus have over 90% coilwhine rate, zotac is at like 15%. i can attest that, i had 3 different msi trio cards here, all had extremly loud coilwhine, like hearable from 6 meters away. tried 3 different psus (be quiest dark power 13 atx 3.0. 1000watt. corsair rm 750 watt and bequiet straight power 11 850. no change. tried the card in the second pc in the house, no change. all 3 cards went back. pointless to have such a big noiseless cooler when the cw is so damn loud

    this is a very nice gpu
    rgb is freaking awsum on it
    can swith it on or off
    or do certain sections
    or do certain effects
    overclocking gpu core goes over 3000mhz
    and memory reaches atleast 12000 +
    runs extremely quiet
    fans are off in idle
    i love the fact that fans can be individually controlled front or back
    amazing
    oh..and i love the firestorm software for it
    negative is just the price

    I have this version of the 2070 (in a box), love it. I recently purchased the Zotac Trinity OC 4070ti because the new amp extreme is too damn big for my case! lol *My one asthetic complaint is that Zotac always includes "gaming" on the gpu's logo. I'd prefer just Zotac. Great video and presentation btw!

      Yes, it's indeed too big. Does your 4070ti have coil whine?

    • @noahbirdrevolution
      @noahbirdrevolution ปีที่แล้ว

      @@psyber84 No. I'm anal about quality power supplies, quality surge protectors, and properly grounded/wired outlets, and have never had coil whine on the 7 gpus i've owned the past 7 years (4 were for mining & had fans jacked to 100% so I didnt notice whine if it was happening on the rx580s). I actually like this 4070ti a lot.

      its absolutely amazing, one of the best gpu's ive had and thats after coming from a 3080 rog strix which was good but had insane coilwhine in the main menu of most games.¨
      i was sceptical about going zotac after seeing how bad they were a few years ago but they are MUCH better today and have really stepped up their gpu game, definitely on its way to become one of the best brands out there quality wise.

      I can't hear any coil whine for this zotac's 4070ti. It's super quiet. But my powercolor 7900xtx red devil has coil whine issue. I live in hong kong so i brought it there.

    • @AGENTEN-ry6lr
      @AGENTEN-ry6lr 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      no thats not coil whine that they are famous for, they had cheap fans in their gpus before which made the fan bearing sound at low speeds, coil whine is something entirely different than that.
      I've had neither coilwhine on mine nor have i had problem with noisy fan bearings, while both my rog strix 3080 had insane coilwhine and my old gigabyte gaming oc 2080super, my girls radeon 6800xt also had coilwhine in most games while theres nothing on the 4070ti amp extreme, its an amazing card.

      No noticeable sound from the fans, not more than my 3080 with headset on, temps are AMAZING and rarely touches 60c+. no coil whine what so ever no matter what, cant think of anything else than just praise for the amp extreme.

    • @hardwarerx
      @hardwarerx  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i'm not an expert in this area but i suggest it's better to use 3x8pin because the rated power consumption is not the real power consumption for the whole card. I quoted someone test the msi 4070ti using 2x8pin for your reference:
      ".....It still uses the PCIe 5.0 interface for power, requiring a 12VHPWR adapter for most of us, which is odd, as it only is rated at 285 Watt TGP. Dual 8-pin connectors should be sufficient. However, the 4070 Ti can run using a 2x8-pin adapter, where the other cards need a 3x8-pin adapter, and removing just the one "arm" of the adapter actually makes a difference. We measured 255 Watt at sustained 100% load, with a few peaks hitting 260 Watt, but still far from the 285 Watt TGP specified by Nvidia."

    • @starofeden9277
      @starofeden9277 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes it does run on 2 x 8 pin
      read some reviewsd and videos show it
      2 x 8 pin performs just under 3090ti on 3 zotac trinity models
      3 x 8 pin OC trinity performs above 3090 ti
      so it seems the little extra juice of one power connecter makes a bit of a difference
