Literally sometimes being a girl gives me chills down the spine . Hearing these stories actually make me feel uncomfortable everytime .
I am so close to my brother . He always tells me stories to increase my awareness . He once told me that how sex workers actually stand at public places at night near so many places and ask males in NCR . This is perhaps why these perverts make it much more troublesome for girls who aren't working in that field and think every girl is same . I don't know whom I should blame , the sex worker , the pervert , both or none .

Though the subject matter isn't that simple as it seems. Let's look at some points:
1. Prostitution and Sex Work is legal in India.
2. Prostitutes roam freely on the roads at night of every city in the country even when there are specific legal places for business through sex (ofcourse coz of lack of other dignified job opportunities)
3. It is the job of the Vigilance dept. to stop prostitutes from roaming freely on the roads for carrying out their trade.(which is almost impossible, coz one cannot stop someone's freedom).
4. A decent woman will never ever answer to a stranger, let alone, go near him.(provides enough clarity to the sexual offender that she is not a prostitute).
5. These sexual predators have become so psychologically pornographic that they see a pornstar in every woman (maybe even their sisters and mothers). Hence, pornography should be under strict control and should even be banned (Impossible).
The crux of it is, A woman should never be blamed, just be made aware and strong enough to fight anyone who tries to hurt her dignity.
The men should be educated in humility, importance and respect of a woman and should be penalised for such acts.
The government bodies are the most to be blamed for not creating a strict system for penalising and providing a safe environment. We never see Police Cars for atleast 10-12 Kms at a stretch.
This is the mentality in north india, if a girl is standing at night then that means she is a call girl. There are many such mentalities.
