Yes Indian middle class spending is shrinked by: 1. Increasing unemployment, 2. Increase in Pharma & medical expenses, 3. GST levey's on all products & services: med/edu/housing(People think thrice to buy / eat out), 4. Maintaining a car is tough by investment, recurring maintenance expenses, increaing insurance & toll rates. 5. Ever increasing rates of essential goods & service's (incl mobile tariffs).

Things which big companies don't like :
    1. you spending less on their products and saving more cause they only care about their quarterly sales and company growth.
    2. middle class choosing healthier means of food over processed food.
    3. middle class choosing environment friendly and cheaper means of transport over everyone having their personal vehicle on road.
    4. middle class taking care of their finances and not falling into trap of hefty loans.

I cook pastas and chicken rolls for my kids rather than ordering food online.I don't take my children to shopping malls but encourage them to play outdoor games. We have decided to stay in a suburb where there is a playground near our home rather than living in the heart of the city though we have a property there. India’s 🇮🇳 middle class is shrinking, with higher taxes putting more strain on their finances. Many millionaires are also moving abroad, particularly to Dubai, to escape heavy taxation, which is an alarming trend. Meanwhile, taxpayer money often funds political freebies. Job losses from COVID-19 have taken a toll, and higher taxes on LTCG, short-term gains, and a ban on crypto have made it harder for people relying on trading to make a living. As many consider leaving India, it’s time to reflect on the challenges ahead.

Roads in WB Kolkata have to be a blight on India's aspirations to be Vishwa Guru. Corruption is so rampant e.g. I wanted an upgrade to AC1 (which with the exchange rate I could afford but found Indians can too paying thousands) and within minutes one of the staff BVG I think written on their shirts- came and offered to help. I was told await next station and would confirm. Within 10 minutes I was whisked to an AC1 coach. I was told the TT would come and tell me the difference I have t pay. I sat and sat very tired and avoiding sleep until the BVG guy came with another guy and said the TT said the difference is Rs 980 and he sent us to collect it. I paid cash Rs1000 plus Rs 100 tip - never heard back from anyone, no receipts, no ticket no record. Meaning that money was shared with those staff of the record!

Indian middle class is paying taxes more than their growth of income. The middle class is not having money at their hand. Whereas the lower and lower middle class are getting fixed income from various schemes from the government in spite of giving very little input to the country's economy. Most of the schemes are made only to get votes.

Some of the major issues on which Government need to make policy -
    1. People are getting salary which was relevant 10-15 years ago (Specially in IT industry) ...
    2. Taxes are High as per the income after deducting taxes ....
    3. Now a days Co. is not hiring ppl who got higher experience and salary (Specially in IT and Engineers) ....
    4. Increased Cost of daily use - food groceries
