Ms. Edith Ross is a resident at my others nursing home in NC. She is now 99 and I’m going to visit her and talk with her.

I’ve watched so many of these testimonies, but this one really broke my heart. I think of how scary it would be to go through something so horrific all alone. I’m happy that you went on to have a good life. You were so brave!

Edith Dear I just finished watching your testimony and this will stay with me always. You have
been through so much and lost so much and yet were able to survive and go on to create a
life for yourself. You are a much stronger woman than I. I have much respect for you and hope you find peace
and happiness with your beautiful family. God bless you and thank you for sharing this tape.

I’ve lived in NC and know the small town of Apex. It is indeed a small world to know that someone with such an incredible story to tell was so very near. I hate the horrible content of those stories but love the spirit and strength of those who survived. Thank You, Mrs.Edith for sharing.

What a brave, strong and lovely lady. The heart breaks hearing her testimony. I've watched a lot of these recounts and Edith's goes into great detail. Such grit, poise and transparency. Thank you for this. So glad Edith survived and went on to have a good life. ❤

I am so sorry for Edith, that she has to go through this hell and lost her dear family. Her sister Greta was married to my grandfathers cousin. My mother's name is Theeboom.

The interviewee is very respectful, he hasn't interrupted this lady unlike some of the testimonies I have listened to.

This story reminds me of the stories my father told me about the family Neurenburger. My father is 90 years old and would like to get in contact with Edith or familymembers. Please leave your comments if you are interested. If not, we totally understand. I understand our reaction is very late, but this is how live goes sometimes. All the best, Suzanne.

Definitely one of the best if not the best holocaust survivor stories. God bless you Edith, you went through so much and taught us many lessons.......especially how so lucky we are! I just can't figure out for the life of me how some people can have no compassion for other human beings is beyond me!

Another incredible story that escapes the imagination of what can be. How can people be like this towards another? But while listening to her I thought of doing the same things to her abusers. I hope Karma did what it does to the Nazi's, Ukrainians, and anyone else who thinks they're above another for just being born. My grandparents lived in Hitler's Germany and Holland. Not as Jews but as the conquered. Grandma was part of the opposition party to Hitler and Grandpa was in the Dutch army. He became a conscripted worker at a German post office in Hanover where he met my grandmother. My mom was born in Hanover in 1944. Their life after Hitler was terrible in Holland. Came to Canada in 1953. Amherstburg, Ontario. Maybe WW2 brought the world together for an instant, maybe it was needed for some reason beyond our comprehension. But the cost was to high for the gains.

She used picture words with details in many cases where so many others are vague.

I think she is sadly deluded about Dutch anti-semitism. Compare the Dutch to the Danes.
