      That is because the music used uses a lot of non-clean intervals, less perfects and majors, more augmented, diminished and minor.

    I've been learning intervals since high school, but this video explains differently from what I have learned before, and it changes how I look at the intervals. Today, I learn the idea "is the higher note in the key of the lower note?", and I haven't heard that before. Thank you for simplifying music theory.

    Really well explained. I found this for my son who was looking for an efficient way to name intervals. He has an ABRSM exam in March and thanks to your lesson he'll be able to get all the interval questions right.

    This video actually helped so much, I hated doing intervals and now that I understand it, I can tolerate it. I kept on putting my practice test off to the side because it started with intervals but once it was one night before my exam and now im cramming. This helped more than my teacher explaining it because of the visuals . THANKS 💕‼️

      One really helpful way to figure out the key signature of a Major key is the circle of fifths! Memorizing is obviously helpful for this process, but the circle of fifths makes it a bit easier before you’ve reached that point ☺️

    Who came up with this? This is such a confusing notation. I thought current flow was confusing when I was studying engineering. NOPE! Here comes music theory.

      @Nox Eath I do not find music theory hard. It is confusing. Just like current flow is not hard to understand, but the guys who discovered it flipped a coin and decided it will flow from positive to negative.

      the way I remember the difference is that removing from something that's perfect diminishes it but if it's not (ie. is a 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th) then it's only a minor inconvenience
