Filtration bed doing a great job. Water was really clear. Not many people today can say they single handedly dug and built a functioning water well. Awesome job Simon.👍✌️
Thanks for the compliment and watching as always. Necessity is the mother of creation, as they say. It was the most cost-effective option for me, and it gives the ranch some more charm.
I will never forget building the well it was a very good challenge. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Thanks for following along with the ranch build as always.
Thank you for your update and Merry Christmas! When you can pump enough water from the well, it will be interesting to see how long it takes for the level to rise to the previous height. This will show you the flow between the pond and the well, and how much water you can use each day. Cheers!
@alexwoods2836 Good question, and thanks for watching as always. I brought a gravel and sand mix from the river that is about 2 1/2 miles away. It seems to work quite well. No pun intended.
could the floaters in the well be caused by the platform? maybe make a metal one and remove the organic matrial from the well? That thing is awesome! Happy holidays.
Thanks for watching the project as always. What is floating in there is hydrophobic dust. It was in there before the platform was even installed. I thought after a couple of years it would settle, but it's still there. I hope your holidays are perfect as well.
Thanks for following along as always. The water level in the well changes quite a bit it depends on what height the pond is. It balances out with that. A pool pole would work well for cleaning it out.

YES. Now we know. I Thanks for the sharing
On your property, there is no less monumental structure. The only thing is not clear: Sand for filtration or it was brought later by water.
Water the one is the one thing that can make or break your plans, as you know. Thanks for following along with the project as always.
@alexwoods2836 Now I have to contemplate that one. Thanks for making me think.

I’m surprised it wasn’t full of cobwebs.
There are a few of my buddies in there, but not too many. Thanks for following along as always.
Well, well, well . . .
Well, working well, I would say. Thanks for following along with the project as always.
in a year's time the infiltration gonna rise the water level a few feet..
I'd clean floating stuff with a pool pole net
