    • @ultrasyde
      @ultrasyde 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@briang1310 well i like that it provides enough amount of space for me to put essential things in there (wallets, power bank, phone, keys), it will be a problem if you are trying to carry more because it will definitely look like a brick, you might need to consider a different sling if you need more space. Its not too big but still looks cool to wear it as a sling or over your shoulder. Might be a bit biased here but i always go for a simple black and minimalist looking so i just love it. And as Nomads Nation has mentioned, it really is a great pocket reliever for me, your pockets can breath easy with this sling.

    Pocket reliever is the PERFECT category/term for this. I really like the form factor of this one over the Day Sling 2. I’m not too much of a big sling guy but if I were ever to buy one, I’d go with either this or a Bellroy Sling Mini. The zipper pulls on all Aer products are also very jangly. But yeah this thing is sexy AF!
    Also, you’re in HCMC! Quan An Bac Hien near the city center is my favorite hole in the wall noodle/rice place!

      Nomads Nation whats the buckle strap size for this sling and can we change the buckle to a fidlock flat magnetic buckle? I feel like its a lil bit more secure cause u need 2 hand to open with and not many people know about it, unlike the stock one u only need 1 hand

    • @jdpaoel777
      @jdpaoel777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      why would they cut it when it can be unbuckle easily, and I never see person stealing a sling bag by cutting it. My point is just to make it a lil secure and if after all prevention is already done and it still get stolen so be it.

    • @jdpaoel777
      @jdpaoel777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @HN Backpack yes, but sling bag? I feel like its to extra to cut a sling bag. And since I read stephen wong comment, in a really crowded place I still put it in my chess (cause people will help when its stolen) but when its not, I always put it on my back cause the only way to steal it is to get in front of me. And if they try to open the main compartment from behind, I can feel it cause the zipper is touching my elbow. The front compartment is impossible to open without being notice cause that zipper is hard af. And the phone/back compartment, I zipp it with the aer logo inside cause it looks hidden & whoever going to open it gonna be confused (even tho its ez to open and close if u know the trick). Already use it for months and this sling bag is pretty great for me.

    I’m interested to find out if the position of the large buckle makes it uncomfortable if you sitting down with the front of the sling across your chest? Would the buckle be pushing into your back? Often when I’m out and about I would just leave my sling on and wouldn’t remove it when I sit down.
    Thanks again

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much! I would say if you are sitting with the sling on (with the buckle on your back) it's not terribly uncomfortable, but it's certainly MORE comfortable to take it off all-together. I would probably look at the Aer Day Sling instead. It's a bit bigger, but the buckle is not in the middle, so it'd be more comfortable for your specific situation. Hope that helps!

    Watched the review, I’ll be honest, it was a bit weird. Ex. I get you like the zipper down the middle, but, this concept is not like greatest thing that ever happen to humanity, felt like I was being sold a bag. Your other videos were much more “objective.” I like those videos. This one was a bit too caffeinated for me. Just my opinion. I do appreciate the info though, and their materials are top notch for the price point. The functionality is on point, but not a fan of the look...the bag looks like an elongated men’s toiletry bag with straps. Maybe it’s one of those you just gotta see in person.

      Thanks for your comment! It's def not the 'greatest thing to happen to humanity' I'm just an overly dramatic person and really like this sling 😂.

  • @williamyu3804

    This is not really a true sling.....this is more a fanny pack that can be used like a sling. The buckle is centered and tightened from both side like any other fanny pack. The strap is centered on each side of the pack so when used as a sling, so the pack does not really lay flat on your back. I prefer the Aer Day Sling 2 as a true sling since the strap is place off-centered on one side, and attached at the corner on the other side.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great comment William, and totally agree. The Day Sling 2 is a much truer sling, and has an overall better fit (but possibly has pocket-overkill)

    • @williamyu3804
      @williamyu3804 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your right….it is a bit of a overkill. My initial gut reaction was that I like the form factor of the City Sling better. However, I have a WANDR sling very similar to the City Sling and did not like how it fit unless it was tight on the back. If the City Sling had a similar strap setup, I would definitely prefer it over the Day Sling. BTW, been enjoying your reviews.

      @@williamyu3804 Love your idea - mash the form of the city sling with the strap/fit of the day sling and you've got a sling masterpiece! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the channel mate, we've got some big announcements coming in the next few months, thanks for joining us on our journey :)

    I love the proportions. I love the small size. I'm a phone wallet keys and a few bonus bits kinda carrier. BUT. I don;t love the apparent function in a few ways. My dream bag has the same volume. Possibly longer with a slight bend so that it isnt an inflated pillow strapped to a curved body. Most importantly, the bag is accessed and viewed from above, where your face is... why the fuck is the zipper on the centre of the front? Ridiculous! The whole "interface" must be on the top edge of the bag. Mere accessories- novelty pouches belong on the front panel - if anything at all.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The zipper in the front didn’t bother me at all but it’s an interesting point for sure!
