What I like about you is you go there and you never come across as an auditor, you give them a completely legitimate reason for your presence & you’re friendly offering your first name but they still give you the same aggressive paranoid approach which completely contradicts their stance that they react negatively to auditors because they’re only there to provoke a reaction.

@Auditor Frauditor what is the loophole you speak of?the loophole that taking pictures in public isn’t breaking the law?🤦🏻‍♂️ you might not like what he does but that’s what is great about TH-cam there is plenty of other things to watch but yet you chose to watch someone doing something you don’t like 😬

Don’t seem overworked, that’s probably why they don’t like photographers. The biggest threat to the public at the moment, judging by recent events is the police themselves.

  • @retroonhisbikes

Its clear numpty here has not read the memo. So I’ll repeat it here for him to read.
    1. There are no powers prohibiting the taking of photographs, film or digital images in a public place. Therefore, members of the public and press should not be prevented from doing so.
2.We need cooperation with the media and amateur photographers. They play a vital role as their images help us identify criminals.
    3. We must acknowledge that citizen journalism is a feature of modern life and police officers are now photographed and filmed more than ever.
    4. Unnecessarily restricting photography, whether for the casual tourist or professional is unacceptable and it undermines public confidence in the police service.

6:55 No issues with you taking pictures of the landrover, yet they have an issue with you being in the yard to take pictures of it. They offer to bring a vehicle out so that you can photograph it, yet when asked if they actually would they admit that they can't and won't. No wonder they're confused.

  • @TheSadButMadLad
    @TheSadButMadLad 2 ปีที่แล้ว +61

8:20 Yes it is unreasonable for the police to ask for someone's ID if all they are doing is taking pictures. They say its about security, but in a yard which has no fence or gate, the point about security is moot. And further, police have to follow the law which controls them as much as the law controls the public's activities. And the law does not give them authority to get someone's ID if they haven't been arrested (with a couple of exceptions). The police have got away with gaslighting the public and hiding their processes from the public so that they can get away with murder (sometimes literally). Not anymore.

12:57 Getting pinged means the police disproportionately target you and take an overbearing interest in your activities. Same thing happens when someone's car is logged in the ANPR database by a copper with a grudge who knows that the victim will get hassled by other police who are following procedures properly and lawfully even though the original record was created unlawfully. The corrupt copper gets away with it since he is not directly involved in the future stops. The innocent coppers get away with the stop since they have no info that the record was create unlawfully. But the victim gets hassled and harassed and has their human rights abused.

9:58 People who give their ID to police and "authorities" are sheeple. So keeping yourself private from the state is a right. And them thinking that they you should because it's normal social interaction shows how wrong they are. First it's never a normal social interaction, the police will always question and never have a chat about the weather. Second dismissing the upholding of a right means they don't think the public should have rights and that the police will issue people with orders about what they can and cannot do.

5:40 What he does is question people like you. As in people who use a camera. This is a sign that using a camera is like the first step to be a terrorist. It's already been stated by the police that the non-crime hate incidents where they question people's "thinking" about tweets is seen as the first step on a five step route to genocide. So the police obviously think a camera is the first step on a five step route to terrorism and mass murder. So in their mind, they are doing the right thing in protecting the public by stopping such deviants as free speech activists and civil rights activists. The problem is anybody who thinks they are doing the right thing and therefore their actions are moral and ethical is always the fascist tyrant.

When I was there it was a staunchly conservative area and that showed in the attitude of the police and the punishment by the courts, thank god hanging was abolished before my time! They tried to set me up once using a lying witness but I confronted him in front of other people and they all turned up in court in my defense. The happy look on the sergeants face soon turned to blubber when the lying witness stood up in the court and said it was all a pack of lies and nothing to do with me! He had spotted the faces and knew the game was up! Public eye did an audit of Catterick Police station a few months ago, shame you could not have done one while up that way.

Auditors do not cause trouble. They follow the letter of the law.
The only time issues occur is when the police escalate the situation, then use laws designed for terrorist, to stop a search people who are doing nothing more than following the letter of the law.
The only reason these videos exist is because of the way the police act in an unlawful manner 😉

Rice v. Connolly (1966) is an English legal precedent holding that there is no strict, general legal duty to assist a police officer prior to any possible arrest or caution, with even basic police enquiries nor to accompany the officer to a requested location.

They just get more and more irritating, more and more juvenile, and more and more pompous. Our police forces are not worth the huge sums we pay for them, and somebody in government is going to have to start a radical retraining programme to make them behave WITHIN the law. We're all sick to death of this petty, threatening behaviour, and it's no wonder the gulf between public and police continues to widen.

14:44 One possible answer to the standard scripted question from their training of "How long will you be" is to question them and ask them "how long will it be before you go to the loo". They will answer that you shouldn't be so rude. And the answer from your side would be that they shouldn't be so rude in the first place.
