Railfanning Rosenberg, TX 3/7/15 pt 1

Since yesterday was Stevan's (Texas Railfan) birthday, me, Rosenberg Railfan, and TX Trainiac decided to celebrate it by having a pleasant railfanning trip at Rosenberg. But however, our conflict arose when we heard from the scanner that BNSF 5714's crew reported us and was gonna send a cop after us. In fear of getting caught, we had to rush into the museum and hide there. Yeah, I know the view from the museum sucked since they placed those stupid containers to block the UP tracks, but it was our only way to avoid getting into trouble while catching trains from there. We had to fight with those obstacles getting in our shot especially when it comes to EB trains on the Glidden Sub. I just hope they will remove those containers between the UP and BNSF tracks as soon as possible so that railfans in the museum can get a clear shot of trains on the Glidden Sub. Enjoy!

10:48 Train 4: BNSF 5714 (with a nasty crew that reported us) leads a coal train north on the Galveston Sub. Right after the lead engines passed, I had to quickly run inside the museum to avoid getting into trouble.

Unfortunately the area we were standing on happened to be a RR property and I think it's unfair how the best spot in Rosenberg has to be a RR property

Awesome video! Getting a rude crew who doesn't wave to a group of railfans is one thing but a crew who called the cops? Those guys probably have nothing better to do and seem like finger flipping railhaters.

Thanks! Those crews just have nothing else to do but to ruin our fun, and they even think we're gonna get hurt when we're not since we're extra careful around trains.

CSX doesn't have Dash 9s. Their only GE units are ES44AC, ES44DC, ES40DC, C40-8, and C40-8W.

Actually they do have some Dash 9's numbered in the 9000 series, just that they were built as Dash 8 carbody but contains some features that are found in Dash 9's. They also have AC44 and AC6000 as well

Nice video and catches Shawn! For that 1st KCS train, interesting how you caught a DME hopper! For the coal train, nice lashup, but that engineer is a bitch. Too bad the ACE wasn't leading, because then he would be crying for the whole trip. For UP 8031 leading the mixed freight, interesting how the lead engine and DPU numbers were the same, but rearranged. The UP 8103, reminds me of NS 8103 and they're both the same type of GEVOs. It's good that you caught that gray KCS ACE with that Geep!

Thanks Nicholas! Yeah, 5714's engineer was a douchebag, and I hope he rides in a CSX ACe for his next trip so he can feel all those vibrations which he probably hates. But lol I agree, he would be crying his whole trip if that lashup was switched! And oh yeah, that QWCEW leader and DPU #'s were interesting. 8103, at least I caught the NS one before. I was glad to catch the grey ACe along with a Geep eventhough I wish I was at a better spot at the time

***** Yup! CSX ACes are crap even more than the original BNSF ACEs so he should ride it! And the horns should be moved above the cab so that he blows his ears out and gets a bad headache when he blows it! I remember seeing your video of the NS 8103, and at least the shot of the gray SD70ACE and the GP38-2 was decent for where you were standing

CottonBeltSD40T yeah, or maybe he deserves to work for a smaller RR that have older standard cab locos with horn still above the cab. I prefer "coming toward me" than "going away" shot and I'm not gonna let my railfanning go downhill.
