Tango installed a loot barrel filler machine for that barrel only. hermits who are willing to go down there get rewarded so it will be restocked next time someone else goes in there

That only works up to a point. A smaller deck will crush people in longer runs because of stumble cards. On easy and medium a smaller deck is fine, but a lot of the hard runs are taking up to 20 minutes. Etho had a run on Tango's stream that took 19m 40s and even with 22 cards in his deck, quite a few of which are uncommons, he was at max clank and out of cards before exiting LVL2. He only made it out alive because he's Etho.
That’s so funny. I actually had the same idea for using keys to unlock more cards in the shop. That must mean there’s something to it if you think so too. Tango doesn’t want to add extra functionality to extra items you get. But I know he likes combo cards. I was thinking maybe there could be a permanent card that you buy. And it lets you use 3 or so keys to guarantee another option in the shop. That way it’s something you would put in a treasure deck and not just a freebie.
Love the content! If you can tolerate the backseat gaming, I have a couple tips based on the other hermits’ runs 1. Sneak in and next to stairwells. There is often a shrieker and if you just sneak past it, it can’t increase your clank. 2. The deeper you delve the more important hazard block is, because hazard builds with time regardless of how you play, but you can substantially mitigate clank just by sneaking/playing well. 3. The common frost ember cards generally aren’t worth it, you’ll get more just by taking on higher difficulty and managing your risk well. 4. Getting the artifact is top priority. None of the other treasure or embers matter if you can’t get out, and the cowards way out doesn’t let you bring anything out of the dungeon. Be greedy AFTER you have your artifact. tldr: sneak more, invest in hazard block and treasure, delve deeper, and get the artifact ASAP.
You need more clank block Zed!! It’s almost painful watching you get everything except sneak cards then maxing out the clank after 5 min in the dungeon. Love how you an Pearl show the deck and difficulty level before each run though
@ZedaphPlays2 wherever there's a treasure dispenser, there's usually a shrieker. Shift when you're near to not get clank so high so quickly or to give time to queue up clank block
Nah, that would devalue the hazard block cards even more and give treasure drop cards more importance, throwing the card balance off - which is not desirable

Actually, Zed's ideas for the leftover keys is truly really clever. If there was a place where you could put in the extra keys you've collected and depending on the rarity of the key, it gave a slim chance for an extra card being available for purchase, that would make people extra greedy for treasure. Say the level 2 key was a 1 in 16 per, the level 3 was a 1 in 12, and the level 4 key was a 1 in 8 chance for an extra card being available, that could change the game if you get super unlucky on your card choices. This extra card choice gambler should max out at one extra card though to make it fair.
Wish there was a water breathing card to let hermits explore and learn those underwater tunnels properly. Can a conduit be turned on and off using redstone?
I think you could move prismarine blocks into the configuration to activate a conduit, though it would need to be positioned somewhere it wouldn't hurt Willie, which would limit its effectiveness in the dungeon.
Zed, you probably misunderstand hazard. It is not like clank, where you slowly build up, until you're at max clank and should exit immediately. Hazard doesn't build up and has no maximum (apart from a technical one, that you will never reach). Hazard affects the levels, as soon as you start the game, and from then on constantly, each time with a chance (1 : 18). With bad luck, you could have 4 closed doors after just 2 minutes for example. Or play 9 minutes without any door closing.
Nah, it’s perfect the way it is. If you can’t catch up, you either suck or you’re not making use of what you have to maximize profit. Plus, there’s already a catch up mechanic for low ember weeks. If you couldn’t make use of 25-40 shards up until this point, that’s on the hermit.

I think the best thing to improve your runs is paying attention to shriekers more carefully. It’s fine to set one off once, but it’s so painful seeing you set off the same one 2, 3 or more times. #backseatgaming 🍻
Why is Zed leaving so early? He’s got so many cards and his Evasion hasn’t even went off in the first few runs he’s had it. Then there’s still treasure and embers in places he hasn’t been at. Make use of what you have instead of getting the bare minimum.
Personally I think that keys should have some reward to bring them out if you got multiples, they are currently holding the same spot with treasure, but is only ever been used once, IF you need to go deeper. There is otherwise no reason to go deeper. And a bigger rant about victory tomes.. I don't like victory tomes as a viewer experience.. As a viewer, I don't care at all who wins, I just want to see exciting runs and see how different decks and playstyles playout in the dungeon. Having the victory tomes matter from the very beginning ends up with hermits wasting frost embers in unfavorable ways just to be on the board, to have a progress to the weekly and overall win, but all I want to see is people improving their deck to go further. Seeing the scoring discourages me to watch the runs of the top places, because in my mind I know that someone with a lot victory tomes, will have a weaker build in general (especially in the early weeks). And I saw hermits thinking about uncommon cards when they had the ember, just to buy a isingle victory tome and a weaker basic card just to "catch up". Personally I would prefer if all spare frostembers that you won't spent, give victory points and probably just get rid of the buyable victorytome all together or make them in general less desirable for someone who still don't have the cards to fully engage with decked out. This way someone can spent his frost embers on a card and any spare frost ember is not just loss. This would also help getting rid of the idea of "Bad deals", like ignoring an uncommon card, because with your frostembers, you couldn't buy anything else. And while the 6-9 cost common cards will always be bought if you only have 9 max embers, the 10 cost frostember card is automatically harder contestet, because it is also the exact price of a victory tome, that hermits just "slowly want to build up" and this "sacrifice" is worth it for them. Decked Out has a time limit, but I currently have a hard time believing that most hermits even come to a point where they can fully enjoy their own and unqiue deck. And spare embers just counting to victory, can still be used later on, when you have all common cards and too little embers to improve the deck or no cards in the shop you want to buy. Now you got situations where hermits get lucky and come out with 27 embers and just because they get 3 victory tomes for 3 embers less than normal, they rather ignore the interesting uncommon card for 24 or 26, just because it would be a waste.
Why are you leaving the dungeon sometimes with only half of your cards played? You're wasting possible treasures and frost embers. More cards allow you to stay in longer and go deeper. Once you feel you have too many cards you're probably not risking enough.
Anyone catch Mumbo's comment about AI? I get what he's saying but I think k that's the last thing we need to worry about where AI is concerned. The "truth" is marred enough by those who control us as it is. AI will just make that so much worse. Soon we won't be able to believe our own eyes, maybe that time has already come? How should I know?!

Nicely done. Your strategy to just wait for your treasure carts to play seems sound as long as you have the hazard block carts.

Would you ask the Dungeon Master if that loot box in the water maze a one time loot or always has loot???
If you take cards out, stumble will shuffle faster on your deck to the point you are only going to draw it and your clank will skyrocket.

Don’t reduce your deck….it is the only way you can start making it to lower levels and allows you to farm treasure and embers
