Going out of your way to LOOK for evidence of a tribe will more likely get yourself killed rather than staying put.
Honestly with the mountain lion fighting it would be safer than splitting up due to the fact that it would just leave the boar and hunter bigger prey where I live they are everywhere in the woods and splitting up leads to surprise attacks since they are master hunters and can even fight off bears if they want
I don't think you know too much about mountain lions, and your logic is quite flawed. If a mountain lion can supposedly fight of a bear, then how could three puny humans win a fight against it. While splitting up would bring certain doom, only one would be to the mountain lion, as it would be a waste of energy for it to chase three humans that are quite thin and would end up burning more energy than gaining. The other two would most likely get lost and die to the elements or to other animals, bugs or diseases. But you were right saying they are master hunters (they probably would have completed the hunters journal far faster than the knight could have.)

Was just about to comment the same thing... four months late! The matter isn't fighting it off, it's scaring it away from the boar. Animals don't think the same as people, it will think three large and weird looking things doing some rather weird things in general are too much to handle. Even if the lion hasn't seen a person before, the weirdness factor would play in a lot.
They confuse you with prey if you panic and run because of their hunting instinct. Dont look it in the eyes ang go slowly away.
The thing is you're such a different thing to them, they probably wouldn't take the risk. It doesn't know how to react to humans, so it will probably stay back. There're also three of us, and we're pretty big (except for maybe Anne, she'll get eaten for sure.)

The bowdrill method of making fire can be done easily by 1: getting an already bent stick and using ur shoelases as string on the bowdrill or 2: getting some soft wood and bend it into the shape you need and then using your shoelases as string to make the bow.
And the it is not a good idea to eat your own legs/arms/etc as it will cause trauma wich will lead to more hunger and dehydration then just waiting and doing nothing.

I'm pretty sure the answer to the first question is way off. Establishing leadership and control over the situation after just experiencing a plane crash with multiple confused and scared passengers should be first priority than just scavenging for materials. The passengers aren't going to be calm, some/most are injured, and they will be lost in the situation. Scavenging for materials will bring nothing to address the mental state of the passengers, so you need to become the voice they'll follow. After establishing leadership, having passengers capable of addressing the wounded and passengers capable of scavenging for materials and supplies should be first priority.
