We've been using IXL for a while, but it's so frustrating, because I can't find lessons anywhere. My son gets overwhelmed, because the practice tests have questions that he hasn't been taught. Can you please tell me how to get to lessons? Thank you!
Great, video. I just came across IXL today for the first time. I have been looking for something that can can teach maths from the very very beginning with no assumption of any prior knowledge whatsoever. I notice in your video though when you click on a topic, you immediately get asked questions about that topic. Can you tell me, how do you learn how to do that topic in the first place. IXL looks like a great set of practice questions, but how do you learn the material in order to have a go at those practice questions. I am having trouble finding a resource to actually learn the maths from in the first place. Khan does not teach the material and just consists of practice questions, and the jumps between topic areas are too big so I was having trouble following. Does anything in IXL actually teach the maths before you then try to answer the practice questions.
Nice! I love the tips you put at the end of this video! Really helps use use IXL in a useful way. It gives me a heading. -From a mama who doesn't know where to start helping their struggling 3rd grader.

Many teachers use IXL as homework instead of traditional paper homework! Yes it is, as many teachers will use IXL to test a students knowledge in a subject before teaching it. The other scenario could be that this is material the teacher expected the student to learn last school year. I would check with the teacher to get clarification. Thanks for watching!

For example, if you did more geometry lessons, your geometry score would increase. This sounds great as students will be able to improve on something they’re struggling with. Scores do not depict who someone is in life. Seeing how things can be modified, the wish of getting the highest diagnostic level is a critical ideology. We as people strive to do the best we can, but there is only a certain amount of stuff we can handle until we need a break. It doesn’t help in a modern society that cares so much about scores also exists in this present fluxion. Thank you!
