the mode Matt was describing from Wipeout is Zone mode and is the sickest shit in that game, is basically no breaks mode, and your ship continually increase speed until you crash into enough walls to destroy your ship.
This is the first game I've seen where not only it would feel awesome to play in VR, it would also be the most natural way to play it. I can imagine myself getting lost on a sprint and just getting the impression that I'm the one running. Probably it woult make it a tad easier, but totally worth it

I especially liked the intro in the beginning -- the use of different instruments, mixed perfectly with the singer's otherworldly voice is something I could never have ecen imagined. Truly a piece of art. This is why I don't like most Western music; It just can't achieve the same emotional and artistic levels.

Even the sonic games that ARE based around "going fast" instead of based around being a "faster-than-normal platformer" are fun because of all the other things you have to do WHILE going fast, like the quick-paced platforming and many options of movement control in Generations, or the transforming gimmick in Colors, or managing your boost in Unleashed (the day stages)...
I still think games like this could use some sort of story, but I just usually need some semblance of a story. Like even in offspring fling..I love it, and it would be lesser without the small story it has.
