Ah DMC 5. So many ways to play their is no right way to do it. Watch any player and they have something new that nobody else does. Its refreshing. I havent seen a game this deep since Melee.

I may be wrong but I think the "explosion" is just "1 hit" and the Dr.Faust revolving around him tank it like they would any other projectile. Only a guess tho.

It's weird, but doable. I was using the Cavaliere skip on Mission 11 and accidentally did it while trying to reach the first platform. I was facing it, but then I rocketed the other way.
Its probably one of those cases where isnt intended by the game. There is no transition frames. He just snaps on the other direction. Do you have to hit the enemie tô cancel the attack?
Is there a mod to decrease some visual effects of the game ? I didn't understand half of the video & that's not only this problem video, many other dmc5 videos due to over quantity of effects became almost blurry
It's available in graphic setting if you own the pc version. Idk about the console version, though. Btw blurry video is most likely due to TH-cam compression method. In game, it's not blurry... especially with Depth of Field turn off.

There are few ways to make it, but with dmc5 I meant that due to huge quantity of lighting effects from various attacks, dmc5 is hard to visually comprehend or, instead of it, the locations make main character almost camouflage him - both of these ways make hard to understand what exactly happened in a battle. The same problem with ambient & character merging has Bayonetta. Many videos I've seen are also hard to understand. Nor dmc3 nor dmc4 has this problem, even when there are hordes of enemies you still can perfectly see what is happening in the video, even if it's 360p compressed by TH-cam. Just watch a dmc4 pro gameplay on 360p & a dmc5 one, you'll notice that despite 360p you can perfectly understand the battle in dmc4 while in dmc5 not.

I have played all DMC game since 3, and I even made some combo video for 4 and 5, even just some simple combo and not high level stuff. Jumping from 4 to 5 and I never a hard time to adapt. Just a question did actually have played DMC5, finish it and familiar with all the character moveset?

But watching certain videos is often a pain in the ass by the problems I described a comment ago. I'm not even the only one complaining about losing the track of battle events in dmc5 videos, throughout a year I found many people agreeing with me or manifesting same problem with over lighting mix. This has nothing to do with epilepsy, it's just for instance, when Dante turns on DT & a boss is doing some flashy attack, it's hard to notice what first moves Dante did in first second after switching DT, because the lighting particles effect of switching DT combined with enemies flash visual attacks impedes a clear vision of the fight. Examples of "what the hell happened there": 1:24, 2:29, 3:33 I know what happened because I know dmc5 moveset list, but visually those moments aren't clear because lighting effects covered all the vision. Ok, it's me here complaining, but at least I can handle it because I know the game, but, when I showed some dmc5 videos to people unknown with the series, they all said the same thing "I have no idea what's happening right now/ there were moments I couldn't understand what happened in the fight" , something they never said after I showed them dmc4/3 videos. Even in this fight with KIng Cerberus when it was dark, Dante was hard to see/identify since his colours completely merged with ambient colours
It may not been cinematicish, but sure it was skillish (skillish would imply you'd be shitty in skill, but I mean in phrasing alone. You're 11/10 in skill)
I think the RI hitbox clashed with the explosion hitbox, essentially nullifying it's hit check. I'm not sure how else to explain it but I think that's likely
@@KugutsuYushiro That's not how it work, hit box and hurt box are different things. The explosion hitbox should only interact with Dante' hurt box, unless it's a parry attack, but the explosion is not a parry-able attack. I guess it's I-frame of jump action.
I think he might have used enemy step to essentially jump cancel the end of the real impact animation and get I frames to carry him through the explosion

I think this fight has that problem a bit but I found once I got high fps monitor the added motion clarity makes the effects less obstructive
