I'm glad Jack Sawyer is finally coming around after the near screwup of his development.

D-line is my favorite position group in football. I'm very excited to see this one on the field.

Once again I’m falling for the preseason hype. All I want to know is whether or not the Bucks can make it past the Oregon game.

There we go again! Another delusional Michigan fan! That was last year’s defense that was #1, and Ohio State was #2! This year, Michigan lost a lot of talent from last year, and Ohio State brought almost everyone back, plus got the best transfer portal guys, plus the # 3 recruiting class! How is Michigan doing in recruiting, even though I know Michigan fans don’t think it matters? Just to let you know Michigan is way down the list, Nationally, like always! And it does matter! You will find that out soon, in Columbus! Only three years of cheating have helped you, it’s over! 🌰🏈

OSU definitely has a strong argument for best dline. The secondary and dline compliments each other, the best secondary and scheme can blanket opponents receivers and tight ends to allow the dline to make plays and the dline getting pressure on a qb makes it easier for the secondary, if the linebackers step up and I think they do, all levels working in unison to complement each other to make this OSU defense a probable historic unit, great at stopping the run and pass with experienced top tier talent. Then the offense takes pressure off of the defense, OSU now is tops in blue chip ratio at 90% with most projected nfl draft picks for the next draft, special season incoming everyone, we have been here before but this will be different

No. Missouri rushed for 203 yards on them.
Michigan’s D-line is far better; ask your O-line and Kyle McCord and Jaylen Milroe and Michael Penix.

And who are your defensive ends?
      Never heard of them.
BTW sanctions are coming. No post season for you.

As an Oregon fan I’m looking at this Ohio State defensive a little bit differently. If you compared Oregons Jordan Burch, and OSU’s, Tuimoloau & Sawyer, you have three guys that were 5stars that have not lived up to the potential they were said to have. And by their senior seasons, they are really starting to look like middle level 4 star players.
Oregon recruited, JTT out of high school, but if Oregon would’ve known that he was going to be the player he is entering 2024, we never would’ve recruited him. Definitely a disappointment to see. And what crazy is, Sawyer has been somehow less impressive based on his expectations coming out of HS.
That’s why OSU’s line really is built on saying they’re 5 star talents, even though they don’t play like it. And in the middle, it’s looking even less impressive. And the depth is great, but it’s even less impressive than the starters…especially Melton that can’t stay healthy, and is playing a position he’s not played in college before.
I think OSU needs to temper the elite talk…that’s all. But I’m glad that OSU is excited.

You ain’t lying. JTT and Sawyer have honestly been pretty underwhelming and I remember all the hype around them when they commited to OSU.

@@Heatwave251-x6r There are plenty of players coming back for there 5th year, and they’re on teams that have more returning production, but those teams are still average. Just because JTT and Sawyer are coming back, doesn’t mean they’re going to be better. I actually think they’ve proven that they were not 5star talents, they’re just a mid level 4star.
For there size, they’re like a larger TE, but they don’t move faster than my teams DE that weighed 290lbs, which is pretty bad when they weigh 30lbs less. And because they’re mid sized, they aren’t any stronger than a OLB, or MLB. They’re just middle tier with their abilities…and the backups are slightly worse, which is why they’re backups.
But when they play most of the teams in the Big10 with an average offense, they’ll look really good. It’s the elite teams like Oregon where they’ll be exposed, since Oregon has the best OL in the conference, and an offense that is built to spread you out, get the ball out fast and pick you apart. Bo Nix had the top passing offense going into the pac12 title game, with a depth of pass far less than most teams. It was something like 8yds on average.
Essentially, slower DE’s, that aren’t super strong, won’t effect the game with a power spread offense, that throws for 4000+ yds on a quick/short pass offense.

Who are they? Being a lifelong Buckeye fan, I’m saying that Ohio State not only will have the best defense in the country, but the best team, and will bring home the Natty this year! 🌰🏈

All the bragging..... all the hundreds of millions of dollars spent to buy players for many years even before it became legal to try and buy championships..... all the fan arrogance and cockiness.... all the excuses... the neverending whining and crying..... only to end up losing most seasons. The Buckies have 2 titles since 1970 ( 2 titles in 53 years which is not very impressive and for a supposed " Blue blood program " that is approximately 1 championship every 26 years which is not great ). Adding insult to injury is the fact the perennially overrated Buckies have lost more bowl games than they have won ! So Boooommmmmm.. Go Michigan ! The Buckies are Property of Wolverines ! Tactics of teams like OSUck are destroying college football with their mega dollar pay for play tampering with other teams recruits turning it into a semi-pro game. Any future titles should not count as college championships.
