In ds3 you can skip some bosses - Vordt (unloaded arena) and Crystal Sage (skip with perfect jump) And some bosses can be cheesed - Watchers (if they haven't patched this, you can break his ai so he won't attack you), Wolnir (poison or pestilent mist, but it's longer), and Aldrich (also you can break his ai and it's very easy)
I'll have to look into those strats actually, I've never known that! I remember the Princes had some sort of cheese in Phase 2 as well where they'd stay still for the duration of phase2, but didn't know about these other ones, so thank you! And honestly I really, really hope we get both DeS and Bloodborne on PC sometime :( would be so cool for us all to enjoy the games

I thought that the Box Art set for The Hunter was in the alternate sewers you get to through the drops with the ladder all the way back up hidden behind some coffins
I would argue the Faraam armor is actually pretty realistic for a fantasy setting and very practical. Padded armor (trousers and a surcoat) with a steel breastplate and gauntlets over top them and helmet is decent defense while not being too cumbersome for traveling.
I assumed the pants would provide too little defense and the chest armour would be too uncomfortable to wear but I guess I didn't think it through enough -- my bad on that!!

Sure there are some actual armor experts who done videos breaking down the authenticity of armor in video games cause I do not claim to be an expert at all on the subject. Heck for all I know those could just be regular pants and not padded. Breastplate yeah would be uncomfortable at times but to be fair it beats having a sword (or what ever monster appendage) rammed through your chest.
The Elite Knight Set from DS1 is also the best of the bunch, excellent fashion, good poise, excellent defences once upgraded, and doesn’t weigh that much. That said, on the European copy’s disc there’s a Black Knight
I almost never upgraded my armour sets in DS1 with the exception of the Elite Knight and Chester's Set -- what can I say, fashion trumps everything, lol -- that said, I never even saw the cover with the Black Knight! I've seen pictures of the art but had no idea it actually functioned as the cover for the game.. I was only familiar with the Oscar covers (both the original and 2018 remaster) and the Artorias one
5:49 It's literally the most pragmatic cannon armor next to the Demon Souls armor in terms of protection and practicality. Elite knight would be a nightmare to actually maneuver in, Vykes is literally melted by the three fingers and would face great mobility problems.
I think you bring up a good point -- I'm just not entirely sure if the leggings provide enough protection and the breastplate (at least to my untrained eye) seems like it'd be incredibly uncomfortable to wear/move in, but I'm probably incredibly wrong about this, in which case, my bad x)
@@fermyonds The breast plate in reality wouldn't be bad at all, it's profile may bring off that look of being uncomfortable. The leggings are the weakest point of the armor set and I wish FromSoft added hard black leather for knee and shin protection.
I feel like the ER one could be up to interpretation. Raging Wolf (alt) is what is in all of the trailers, but most posters and covers have Vyke’s armor instead. Both sets require you to kill 3 demigods, (Morgott and the 2 required to reach him), but Vyke’s set is sidequest free, as you just need to kill him in the evergaol, versus doing 4 invasions to get Raging Wolf

I haven't watched the video yet but I predict either ds1 or bloodborne have the fastest title Chara drip available. I think bloodborne because you literally don't even have to kill a boss or do a tutorial first, I could probably load up a new game and grab it in under 5 minutes now that I think about it.

Afaik, the original fluted helm design from Demon's Souls is actually in the remake, you just need to beat the tutorial Vanguard Demon. Not sure if the rest of the set is there too, but if you're going for the iconic look then maybe it'd be a good option to try?

You're correct! I forgot that pre-fingered Vyke has the regular knight armour. It went completely over my head and I was so hyperfocused on the fingerprint set vs. raging wolf :( that was my mistake

Technically the main character of ds3 is the ashen one, and if i imagine him i think about the knight armour like ds1, the soul of cinder is kinda the antagonist , more or less, same with elden ring, if I think about the tarnished I think about the bloody wolf set, vyke is a character on his own
I get that perspective completely -- when looking at the Soul Of Cinder, I just assumed its the amalgamation of everyone who previously linked the flame (including our character from the previous games) hence why I consider it to be the "protagonist" -- it is only defending the flame, after all Regarding Vyke, he was the tarnished who got the closest to completing his journey -- hence why I looked at him as the protag, although I completely understand looking at them as the antagonists

It’s not the same armor, Vykes helmet is slightly different and his whole armor is a lot slimmer than the standard knight set. Not to mention his armor set has an entirely different color.

You could also get the original fluted helm in DeS way earlier if you defeat the Vanguard Demon but it costs a couple of minutes or more

Does vyke on the poster have the fingerprint set, or is it still the pre-fingered knight armor? Because that makes a BIG time difference
It’s not the same armor, Vykes helmet is slightly different and his whole armor is a lot slimmer than the standard knight set. Not to mention his armor set has an entirely different color.

@@Ahhhhh638Yeah. In a similar way, even though the Soul of Cinder is the one on the ds3 cover, the armor set that shows up in marketing for the protagonist is the knight set instead
@@Ahhhhh638It's not on the cover though which was this run's rules, while the armor set on the cover isn't technically available in the game it's still a variation of Vyke's set.
So it's still more correct to go for Vyke's set than Raging Wolf.

At the time I didn't want to include it considering that, well, you start off with the advertised appearance x) but I think I should have given it at least a minute or two of mention
