How should people of faith approach Election Day? Psalm 33:18 says, “Behold the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.” As believers, it’s imperative that no matter what is going in the political environment we live honorably toward The Lord and that we stay in faith. If we do that, this scripture promises us that God will keep His eye on us! With God’s eye on us, we can do well no matter what’s happening in the political environment. As believers, we must not allow an enthusiasm for politics/political issues to cause us to become irreverent, worldly and faithless. As The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ we should carry ourselves with dignity and trust God to sustain us no matter what is going on in the political arena.
