I so love this! I have one question though: is it ok to set stones (cabochons) into thicker bezels (from 0.5mm) by hammering them down? Will this system hold and not get damaged? Thanks a lot!
Hello M00Nabove, Many customers use the BenchMate system to hold rings while hammering. You still need be mindful of the material you are using, how hard you are clamping, etc. to still ensure you do not damage the piece.

To ensure there is no upward movement of the fixture, make sure the smaller front facing knob (2:05 minute mark) is fully tightened.

Will this system allow the pin to flex more than if the pin alone is mounted directly to the bench?
If we understand your question correctly, no. When using the mounting tools shown in this video, there should be no flex.
