Papa Lee, you can be very proud of Sean for the choice he has made. My daughter (class 2019) also chose the USNA over many other schools including Ivy League universities and is now in medical school to become a Navy doctor. Having spent 25 years in naval aviation, including command positions, I know it takes a very special person to accept the challenges and sacrifices Sean will be experiencing in the Navy. Some are good, some are bad but they all build character. You did your part by instilling within him the values and ideals that got him to where he is today. He can be proud of what he has accomplished but the best is yet to come. To be part of the Brigade of Midshipmen means you are truly THE BEST OF THE BEST.

Sir, first and foremost a HUGE thanks to you and your daughter for your service to our country! And congratulations to your daughter for graduating from USNA and going to medical school - you must be so proud! People like you, your daughter and the hundreds of thousands of servicemen and women who serve - or who have served - our country continue to inspire me and many others as well. We are humbled to now be a part of the extended Navy family and certainly proud of our son - and the 1,200+ other Plebes - who have made the decision this year to attend USNA and for their commitment to serve our nation. Thank you!

May I ask where you got your Navy yard sign? We would like to get one for our son.

Hi! First and foremost - congrats to your son! That is a HUGE achievement! You must be so proud! My son's school has a long tradition of making these tailored signs for each of the graduating students - kudos to the school! All we had to do was confirm his name and the college he was attending on an online form and they took care of the rest. If interested I can try and find out who they outsourced the manufacturing to and put you in touch with them directly to see if they would do one-offs. Let me know. All the best to your son!

E Lee that would be GREAT! Maybe our high school could adopt it as well? Thank You for the kind words. Yes, we are beyond excited and proud.

@@TheBowdoc1 The company is based in NJ. The contact is kathy@goballisticsports.com. Best of luck with this and to your son this summer. The mere fact that he has chosen to serve this great nation and been accepted to USNA is a credit to his character, accomplishments to date and to his upbringing, so kudos to y'all! Lastly, not sure if you have service members in the family already, but if not - welcome to the USNA and Navy family!
