Watched Gladiator the other night and it brought me back here after all these years. Still have one of the rare vinyl pressings of this. Sheer classic.
This was released on a sub-label of Fire Records called Fire-999 Records which only released 999 pressings. The label was ran by Cass & Slide and released a number of obscure remixes. It was a great label but it was just too dam hard to find a lot of their releases. Overall, a great remix. One of my favorite was Cass & Slide's epic but very dark "Opera".
@@jimmymac4046 I knew the name and who made it. It’s just an impossible song to get hold of. When it was released, the rights of the melody/music from the movie “Gladiator” were not considered. To avoid the problems with naming the song “Gladiator”, it was called “Glad I ate her” instead. It still got in trouble though and was taken off the marked. Only a few actually managed to get their hands on the EP. I was working as a dj back then and could kick myself for not being faster and not buying in time, before it got removed off the marked! 😢 Still regret it
