Great video. I am in Artavia now and the pool is something that will not be coming to the community from we have heard from the HOA meetings. Another headache is only one entrance in and out of the community. The onus is that the lot sizes are definitely really good as well as the quality of builders. I am in a David weekley and it’s been a great experience.
That’s wild. Multiple builders have told me that they’ve seen plans for a pool in the “phase 2” of amenities. No other entrances planned even as it expands? Even the smaller Mavera has 3 entrances.
@@aaronlathan they just this week brought in culverts to build a bridge on Artavia parkway that will connect to 1314. But that will be done early 2024. The developer Aria hasn’t been that great at developing this community. Artavia central will open up at the end of the year. That will include 80 ft lots with Jamestown Estates as the first one to build.
I like Avalon. I think it’s pretty nice! When compared to some of the other communities the homes look so similar because it’s just one builder. But it’s got everything you need and practically bumps shoulders with Bridgeland. Better pricing for the same SF homes also.
I’m so glad that I’m a veteran and don’t have to deal with property taxes
Vets that qualify for the no tax benefit are my faves! That’s been the bulk of my clients of late. Which community are you checking out the most here?
Are all veterans exempt from property taxes?
@@TraceyBroussard-md5zo not all veterans. Only 100% disabled veteran are exempt from property tax in Texas.
No. Those at 100% disability.

Gotcha. You’d still recommend the community as an actual resident?
@@aaronlathan long term yes. This is going to be like grand Central Park in about 5 yrs once the commercial development goes up.
Are all veterans exempt from property taxes?
No. Just those that qualify for 100% disability benefits.
@aaronlathan What do you think of Avalon at Cypress
I like Avalon. I think it’s pretty nice! When compared to some of the other communities the homes look so similar because it’s just one builder. But it’s got everything you need and practically bumps shoulders with Bridgeland. Better pricing for the same SF homes also.
What Do You Think Of Balmoral? Is That Still In Harris County's High Property Tax Area/Zone?
I like Balmoral a lot. The property tax rate is still over 3% though. I saw a home yesterday that said 3.7%.
