  • The Visitor's Center Theme from the original Sega Genesis Jurassic Park game. Not much else to say except it's better quality than most other rips and close to accurate emulation.

    I was 7 when this game was released. My dad bought it for me. I remember getting to this stage and loving the music. I beat the game a few times before I discovered the raptor mode. The 90s were great

    This tune perfectly captured the urgent sense of "RUN!"
    Also:
    ~Hold Diagonally up+forward to open doors. This is for Grant and the Raptor.
    ~As Grant, you win the "fight" with the raptors in the main hall by using the Explosive bombs (orange). Throw one on the base of the skeleton to the left, jump and throw one on the skeleton on the right, then throw one more at either skeleton. "The Raptors in the main hall have a BONE to pick with you" is the clue to bombing the skeletons.
    ~As the Raptor, to beat Grant, you just need to claw the base of either skeleton 3 times. "Shake a leg if you want to get off the island alive" is your hint to kick/claw the skeletons.

      GOD DAMMIT, I played this game to death back in the day! I never knew how to win! If 7 year old me would have only gone on TH-cam back in '94! /uj Thanks for the heads up, now I know...

      @@DaveMeuleman It sucks being so close to victory and not having the final step, but now you know. I found out how to win as Grant by experimenting, but my father actually called a game tip hotline, got to talk to an ACTUAL person, and revealed how to win as the Raptor. It was certainly special.

      The SNES version was closer to the book as well. It's likely the devs for both versions referenced the novel since that was freely available, versus information for the still-unreleased movie.

    I don't think neither Genesis nor SNES had better sound capabilities than the other, They just had different sounds. SNES music is usually about being open and adventurous, making the player want to explore a game's enviroment. Genesis music is usually about moving and raw metal, getting the player motivated to get from point A to point B in a game.

    • @Draknfyre
      @Draknfyre 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is objectively false. You can say you preferred one over the other, but the sound chip in the SNES beat the pants off the Genesis' FM synth. It outclassed it in every way. To say it wasn't superior is like saying CD and vinyl record sound quality is the same, when they absolutely are not.

    • @digimaks
      @digimaks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Draknfyre YOu argue about SNES sound chip because you are used to SNES over Genesis. But to me as a Genesis/Megadrive person - SNES sounds like cheap MIDI, with fussy sound quality in some cases, because it tried too hard to sound like real instruments, but never made it even close. Genesis never tried to sound like real instruments - instead relied on its own FM synth sound style, which made it unique. So there it is for ya! Of course SNES fan would never agree.

    Blast Processing was a marketing ploy. It was just a term the marketing came up with to sell the system (which worked quite well I might add) But yeah, basically it just means the Genesis could sustain an FPS of 60 with almost no slowdown. (where as the SNES could go to 60 but tended to jump from 60 all the way down to 20 or lower in some cases depending upon how much action was on screen.) That being said, the Genesis wasn't perfect either with its "blast processing". Sometimes fps dropped too.
