I have to thank you for your channel mate, I've been playing for decades and had got bored with the same old Rock and Blues songs. Your content has inspired me again and I'm having fun and smiling a lot at some of the licks and runs you pull off. The great thing is having a background in Rock and blues its very familiar, but a different flavour. Kind Regards.
Clap, clap 👐 Tasteful as ever when you play. It's always a pleasure when you release a new vid. Especially in this weird times. Much love and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Thanks very much for the licks! Thanks also for another great music history lesson, I love being pointed to something else to check out! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. 🤠 also, Iron Maiden is my favorite heavy metal band of all time, so nice shirt!
man i love your playing! Always brings a smile to my face. But not as much as the choice of your T-shirts! Keep 'em coming!! (Both the licks and the shirts!)
Damian Something that would help me out Would be to put the chords on top of the tabs so I could easily see where to place each phrase Keep up the great lessons Look forward to each new video Thanks🎸
Hi Damien. Great video as always ... beard is coming along nicely too by the way (ha ha!!) Quick question - what gauge strings do you use on your Gretsch? ... I'm using 12-52 on my 6120 and was thinking of dropping to a slightly lighter gauge but was unsure if it would handle thinner strings... any suggestions? Cheers and thanks!
Bacci? Any relation to Marcello? He’s the old guy from Italy that talked to ghosts on his old tube radio. I’m going to try your solo tomorrow at work. I’ve been playing since 1978, but just strumming chords, cause I sing too. But I had the urge to know lead guitar too, and if I find that I can play your lessons, then I’ll subscribe. So far, the guitar teachers on uTube go too fast for me!
I don't usually comment on videos but You are by far the best rockabilly teacher out there, I especially love the mini history lesson with each video, I bought your first DVD years ago! I play guitar in a oldies band, ( jrandthestingrays.com , ) I use allot of your tricks and licks for inspiration. We are the house band for the "Concerts at Sea" oldies cruise and we also back many of the headliners that don't bring their own band. One year we backed Marshal Lytle the original bass player for Bill Haley's Comets and your lessons gave me a major boost! Thanks Damien ! Keep the greasy side down brother!
Thank you Jim for the kind words & support. I really appreciate it. Thank you for sharing your story. I had always hoped I would get a chance to meet Marshall and possibly do a interview with him for my channel being that he only lived an hour away from me. Sadly I never got the chance.
