    We’re extremely excited to release Revival’s first in-house designed and manufactured product - the Type 1 Push Button Switch Housing. We’ve tried the rest of the push button switch housings on the market and each had elements of their design that we weren’t quite satisfied with, so we developed our own that have exactly the look and design we want for our builds.
    Machined from billet 6061 aluminum, these switch housings are designed and manufactured in our workshop in Austin, Texas, and are available in either 7/8” (22mm) or 1” (25.4mm), 2 or 3 in-line button configurations, natural or black anodizing so you don’t have to worry about scratching and polishing, and have the option for contrast buttons depending on your preference.
    A momentary contact push button handlebar switch housing engineered to work with a Power Distribution Module, like the Motogadget m-Unit Blue or Basic. Use these to power low voltage applications like lights, turn signals, relays, horns, and starter solenoid relays.
    At Revival, we’re picky about the details, because let’s face it, the details are what set apart a good build from a great build. We’ve painstakingly put in countless hours designing, prototyping, and developing our own tooling and jigs for machining these switches until they’ve met our high standards.
    Each housing is designed to butt directly up to a grip, perch or throttle housing without gapping and each button is ergonomically designed for easy access. The housing itself is designed to be the minimum size necessary so you can make your hand controls as sleek and minimal as you desire. A small laser etched Revival logo on one side. Show off your love for Revival or simply flip the housing over and butt the logo up against your controls for a clean, non-branded look.
    For installation, simply unscrew the buttons, strip your wire, hit it with a little bit of solder, thread the wire through the housing and screw it back in. From there, drill a hole in your handlebars where you want to mount these and another where you need the wires to exit and route to their application (no jig required), and thread the wires through.
    Primary features:
    Machined in-house from billet 6061 aluminum
    Available in either:
    7/8” (22mm) or 1” (25.4mm)
    2-button or 3-button configurations
    Anodized and dyed black or natural “as-machined” finish for durability and scratch resistance
    Option for contrast buttons
    3-button versions arranged vertically in a compact single row for better integration and usability
    Two flush stainless steel M4 mounting screws
    Buttons angled to match the circular shape of grips and throttle tubes
    Laser etched with a subtle Revival logo
    Buttons are IP67 Rated, Momentary Contact, 3amp Rating
    Curious about the other switch housings Stefan talked about?

    I would live to see some units with buttons next to each other as opposed to one above the other for use as indicators.

    Looks amazing. It would be great if you could do a tech talk video showing good techniques (a how to video) in wiring these bad boys up, maybe how they would be connected to the M-unit.

    Ordered 2 x 3 button switches in black for delivery to the U.K. the cost from revival was £187.29 after exchange fees and including shipping. Next got a bill from post office, £4.88 import duty, £37.15 vat, £8 handling fee, total cost £237.32. The switches look very streamline and well made. Happy with the product but they are a little expensive to get them into the U.K. heyhoo I’ll probably forget when everyone gives me great comments. The communication was also good with revival as the delivery was slowed due to thanks giving holidays. Delivery took 4 weeks but I don’t think that’s probably typical.

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We wish there was something we could do about those import fees, unfortunately those are just part of the game. Even if we were importing and then selling through a local dealer the VAT and import costs would still get rolled into the retail cost. Hopefully these switches sell well so we can expand production and get a cost reduction through economies of scale, but for now we are doing our best to produce top quality products for the lowest cost possible.

    Since these launched, I see Motogadget has redesigned their three button switch to have all three facing the same direction, only in a right angle configuration.

  • @JacobTylerChoate
    @JacobTylerChoate 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Absolutely love the design, never understood the backwards third button on the moto gadget switch. I never used one but seemed inherently clunky.

  • @GrumpyGarry121
    @GrumpyGarry121 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I just ordered 2 x 3 button in black. Shipping was only $17 to the U.K. these where exactly what I have been waiting for..... I have fat old fingers and the mgadget buttons looked too clunky and the small buttons where too small. These puppies look perfect, big enough for my fingers but stylish looking too. I would have ordered a shed load of other stuff I am needing but am worried about returns if parts are faulty. Also worried about what customs and excise are gonna charge me...... it will be £12 for the paperwork before they start with taxes.

      A push button switch with integrated throttle body is really the only thing stopping me from getting a M-Unit. For a clean look I really don’t want to have separate button and throttle housing, plus having to pay for both.

    looks like a great product. I wanted to instal these on my RE Interceptor 650 without a m-unit but have no clue how other than that I will need momentary-to-latching switch modules. It would be cool if you guys could put a tutorial in the pipeline, I bet I'm not the only one keeping from buying these for this reason.Cheers!

    I would like to build these buttons on my motorcycle, but I don't have much experience with electronics yet. What I was wondering is whether it is possible to use the three-button switch (indicators left and right and the start button) without the m-unit? I actually wanted to directly install the existing electrical wires in your bar-end button switch. Thank you in advance for your response.

    Hi Dave, great product a UK agent would be great , because if we buy them directly from yourselves the customs & excise bandits will want their cut , unless of course you send it marked gift , apparently that works , no that doesn't mean it's a gift ! Any how , prices ? Thanks chaps keep up the good work , toodle pip as you yanks say , ( we Brits would never say anything so crass ) 😂

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hope that we reach a point where we might have a warehouse on the other side but we're not quite there yet. Marking a shipment as a gift does indeed circumvent import taxes but it is also an international crime and in the unlikely event that they were to pursue it it would be on our warehouse team for falsifying the documents. 😘

    awesome video! what kind of terminal do you recommend for m.unit inputs and outputs (not the positive or ground terminals here), ferrules?

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recommend 10mm long ferrules without the plastic neck. After you've crimped them on use a tiny bit of dual wall heat shrink overlapping the ferrule and wire to seal out moisture and stabilize the gap to avoid mechanical failure.

    Awesome...when will the black 3 buttons be back in stock??

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, we are not sure. Running production is a new thing for us, and so far the demand has been very high for these. It will definitely be several weeks, and it may take a little while for us to scale production to match demand. If you want some, it is probably best to pre-order and we will be filling orders based on the date of pre-order.

    Hi, any plans on making a 6/4 button version (3x3 / 2x2) as I need to control several things (Left, Horn, Light, Intercom, Volume -/+) (Right, Start, Heated grips, Speedomer)

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No plans at the moment, this would be the first inquiry we've gotted for a switch arrangement such as that.
      The Motogadget m.Switch mini might be a good option for you. They have 3 switches per housing and two housings can be mated beside one another for a seamless aesthetic.

  • @richardmckinley3236
    @richardmckinley3236 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you screw the switch button into the housing, it seems like the attached wires will get all twisted around?

    • @jeffberry371
      @jeffberry371 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Richard,
      There's more than one right answer to this. The way we would install these and most clamp on momentary switch housings is to have the buttons already mounted in the housing and install the wires from the back side, then feed the wires through the bars and then assemble the two halves of the housing.
      If your fingers are nimble you can insert the wires in the terminals and tighten down the terminal screws with the buttons already installed in the housing. If you have a situation where you need to install the wires before screwing the button into place just add a few counter twists to the wires before screwing it in so that the wires unwind as you tighten it down.
      That's an abbreviated explanation, and in depth 101 on the subject is on our radar.

    • @RevivalCycles

      They are, we developed them to complement an m.Unit install.

  • @rene5853
    @rene5853 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    What kind of button are they? I think the switches don't remain toggled unless you push it steadily (like a lock button switch)

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are momentary switches and require a micro controller like the m.Unit or NSC-01 to provide latching functionality.

  • @Alpha-iu2ny

    Will this work for a triumph bonneville 2012 ?

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but it's not so straight forward, The Revival Push Buttons are momentary switches and cannot be used with any stock switches that work off of a power (12v) signal or with a stock latching switch system. There is a way to do it and we have made a pretty comprehensive guide for this very thing.

    My start stop switch on my harley is shot could I use this as a replacment?

    • @RevivalCycles
      @RevivalCycles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erik Tyson yes they can but low voltage momentary switches such as these require a control module like the m.Unit or NSC-01 to relay the voltage and act as a patching mechanism. Both can be found on our site.
