Thanks for sharing this. I encourage you to read about the Rozvi Empire and Changamire Dombo. When the Portuguese tried to colonise them, Chamgamire led many successful rebellions against them and pushed them back to a tiny area on the coast of present Mozambique. The Rozvi political system led by the king had an advisory council which included his most senior wives, crown prince, military commanders, vassal chiefs and religious leaders.

Thanks for this informative video full of African history. In Zambia we used to learn the migration of our our Bantu people including the great people of Zimbabwe who built the now famous ruins. It’s interesting to see how the ancient people with no modern technology tools were able to build solid structures with rocks which are the opposite today’s simple African grass thatched tiny houses.

The sad part is that the western media tries so hard to portray Africa in bad light

Yes I loved that movie too. I would have loved for my grandchildren to watch it but unfortunately its not available anywhere online. I think I read somewhere that it was classed as being rather racist/ biased against africans

The trade extended into Zambia. Archeological evidence at the place called Ngombe Ilede called a place where a cow sleeps. Also it’s believed to be a place where copper coins were used. That’s the logo you see on the Zambia National Commercial Bank.

The first Europeans to see the ruins did not believe it was built by Africans. They reason it must have been built by Europeans previously
