      Haha I would totally understand if it was in pristine condition but it is far from that with most of the fins bent, jammed with rocks and such, I could spend the many hours restoring it or just take the east way out and just go with a front mount setup lol

    i was driving my 06 sti and i went to go try to put second gear and my clutch pedal was all the way stuck to the floor what could this be ?

    • @ShadowSTI
      @ShadowSTI  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be a number of issues, air in the lines, master cylinder leaking, slave cylinder leaking, hydraulic line leak, low fluid, clutch pedal not adjusted properly, that’s all the external problem, on the other hand could be internal like the clutch, pressure plate, and/or flywheel is bad or you have a bad throw out bearing, pilot bearing or your clutch fork could be bent as well

    yo bro at 6:27 do you need to put the white cap back on i literally spent 30 mins just now trying to get it on and i cant i think it might be damaged, is the white cap essential for securing the pins? will it be safe if i just run it without the cap? thanks alot

    • @ShadowSTI
      @ShadowSTI  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I tried to put it back on as well and didn’t have any luck, but as long as you got that locking pin in there, there’s no way for it to come loose

    Hey man just did clutch master and slave on my 05 lgt, and cant get it bled.
    When you're pumping the clutch, are you doing so with the bleeder open? Or is it like brakes where you pump it up, hold the pedal down, and crack the bleeder to release air? Im so lost lol

    • @7795Dakota
      @7795Dakota 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pump, pump and hold, crack bleader, close bleeder, VERY SLOWLY pull up clutch pedal if it dose not return. Rinse and repeat until all air is out and clutch petal is nice and firm. If petal is spongey ypu still have air in the system. Same process as brakes.

      @@ShadowSTI I'm trying to figure out how to get a quicker clutch engagement. Is there a valve that slows clutch, changing gears?

    • @ShadowSTI
      @ShadowSTI  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A heavier flywheel will slow down quicker than a lightweight flywheel allowing for quick changes between gears if that’s what you’re looking for, won’t be able to do it with the hydraulic system

    My clutch fork isn’t sitting all the way at the back? What could it be?

    • @ShadowSTI
      @ShadowSTI  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to sure, haven’t had that but if I’d had to guess it would be that the fork isn’t seated into the throw out bearing fully and having that gap for you, and if it is seated in there with no slop, then it might be something with the pressure plate, also make sure the pivot shaft for the fork is in the right position. Hope that helps. I’m currently changing my clutch at the moment and I’ll definitely look out for what could be the cause
