Yeahhhhh. My buddy raids in a mythic guild and I’m more into M+. I’m actually higher ilvl by 4ish and he sims 120k higher cause he has a spymasters and I’m stuck with kiss of death concoction from delves. Sucks for sure to miss out on so much dps cause I don’t raid as often
@ AND the penultimate boss where most pugs 50/50 ever clear. Wish we had the bullion system to target it atleast a little more easily. Pretty annoying for sure
Hey man, another great video, I’m learning a lot with you! Just a little question, is there a % cap that you should keep? I’ve saw you talking here and in other videos about using or not Mad Queens Mandate because of crit, is there a way to know when crit is “too much”?
I like to sim my character whenever I get a new piece of gear. You can sim your character's "stat weights" to see which stats will give you the biggest dps increase. You can also sim your gear with every gem type and ring enchant type and it will tell you which stats you should gem/enchant for.
i've come to prefer HC affliction to soul harvester tbh, much more satisfying to play. plus I get a bit bored of the 1 minute burst window and then being low dps til it comes back up.
I'm a demo player trying to learn aff. Getting a little overwhelmed atm. My main question is with ST - i ended up quite starved of soul shards - how do you get soul shards on a boss? Also, any tips welcome - i do considerably more dmg as demo than aff so i'm trying to figure out what's up. Also, in between vile taints, do i just manually reapply agony - and what dots should i never let expire? I miss agony re application on anything but my main target.
demonology does quite good dps in keys at the moment, but the playstyle is pretty different from aff so I understand how you feel. On bosses you can get Tormented Crescendo (instant cast rapture that costs no shards, effectively a soul shard) procs by using drain soul/shadow bolt on your target that has Unstable Affliction on it. Besides that though you do not have a very consistent way to generate shards single target (as hellcaller) If you are playing soul harvester affliction, you get 3 shards when you use soul rot on a 1 min cd, but that is about it lol. yeah, betweel vile taint's you will want to reapply agony manually. we have a talent that does AOE damage when we apply agony when it has less than 10 seconds left on its duration, so when manually reapplying agony you can still do a tiny bit of dps. really you want to keep everything up if possible, but if you could prioritize one I would say agony since it stacks up to 18, if it falls off the stacks reset too. Shadow's embrace, haunt, and UA are all quite important too, but I have a bit of a bad habit myself of letting haunt fall off of targets in favor of doing AOE damage.
Hey Krozo. I am a bit confused after the buff about what spec and hero talent to play for keys +10 and higher...You think there is a spec that is a bit better meterwise?
to be honest I think the most "meta" spec for warlocks right now is hellcaller destruction. It has very high aoe and single target damage, very consistent and not much down time. I'm posting a video about hellcaller destro now actually!
I tried a build without Death's Embrace and Focused Malignancy and instead had 2 points in Contagion and Malediction and had very good damage in a +12 Arakk. I like that the damage profile shifts completely to Wither instead of Rapture, could maybe put 1 point into Cull the Weak and one in Withering Bolt for bosses. Wish I could run Shadow Bolt tho...
during the last boss, it's difficult to keep imp's position consistently using Singe Magic what are the exact conditions imp can cast that spell to someone and how to control during the last boss
it is definitely difficult. I use the button my pets cast bar to control its position, and I make the imp move to each platform near the canon. If you have your pet set to "follow" and have it attack something, it will attack the target from its firebolt's max distance. When you move from platform one to platform two, your imp can reach the add on platform 2 from platform 1 with firebolt, but the dispell is too short of a range to reach your allies and you, so it will need to move over slowly and by then it is too late for the dispel. You can manually move your imp like I do, or you can simply keep it on passive to make it easier. He wont attack anything and will be right by you, easily in dispel range. I checked the logs from that 14 siege and my imp did a total of 5.5 million damage, only a few raptures worth of damage, so not too big of a dps loss to guarantee your pet is in range for the dispel.
I'd say that the pet sac talent is really not that good for m+ tbh. one of the most convenient things about my pet is that it can interrupt while I am mid cast, since the interrupt comes from the pet itself. if i take pet sac, I would need to cancel my own cast to interrupt. Plus, if a mob is far away, my pet can go into a danger zone to kick a far mob without dying to mechanics etc
nice play that was realy chill to watch do warlocks ever can touch 2m overal in keys ? i realy play serius sometimes with 630 ilvl and 98 pharse , but i just reach like 1.45 1.6 in best way (not in nw)
thank you! yeah you can get over 2 mil depending on the circumstances. 2 mil is easy in necrotic wake for example. If your tank is doing a lot of big pulls and you are able to line your CDs up well, you can do it in other keys too. Also, if you have a mage buff, get PI, demon hunter debuff on adds, etc.. those can also help you get past 2 mil. I'm posting a video right now where I did 2 mil dps as destro (actually 1.96 mil but we can call it 2 mil haha)
@krozothebozo nice informations thank you , yh i ask because i realy sometimes reach perfection in my gameplay but tanks sometimes do realy bad pulls or small pull routs it hurts specialy on affliction , waiting for your next video ❤️
i am using a @cursor macro. It casts immediately where my cursor is without needing to actually click (which is why you dont see the green indicator). This type of macro works for any spell that is in a targeted area, shadowfury, rain of fire, infernal, etc.. #showtooltip /cast [@cursor] Vile Taint
Just starting the video but I really like offloading power from the filler spell, I hate drain soul with passion and the less I have to play around it the better
Why not throw a wither on the main boss in the last boss fight? Would give you a bunch of extra nightfall procs throughout the fight, and give you more rapture dmg from the cull of the weak talent. Not to mention crazy pad lol
Warlocks don't have an easy time getting into any groups. We don't bring much utility. Most people don't know anything about our spec differences either
@@Bobington11 i agree it is not easy to get into a group but I did all at 11s, however i am hitting a wall now getting accepted into 12s, especially since people saw MDI enha, assa and frost dmg xD. But i disagree with utility, warlock is extremely tanky, has Soulstone, cookies, aoe stun and waygate, utility is very nice. Can also run dispell on Imp or Purge on Felhunter. Teleport Circle to nullify multitude of mechanics. On the contrary people take locks because of their utility and not rly their damage.
@@MrDontakoulis Specific dungeons like SoB maybe they're bringing a lock for utility, but most groups don't care. Locks have utility, but it's not moving any sort of needle
Any reason you run drain soul instead of shadow bolt? I prefer shadow bolt for mobility, but if there's a big throughput reason I'm missing I'll go baxk
for hellcaller specifically I like to use drain soul since we don't have reliable shard gen like we do when playing soul harvester. in soul harvester I like shadow bolt more.
if you have questions about my weakauras, there is a channel in my discord where there are links to download them! :)

Love the video and commentary. I learned so much
thank you!

the fact its in raid makes it worse.

There's a really handy addon called True Stat Values that shows you when exactly you would start to get diminishing returns on your stats
that is neat, thanks for the addon recommendation! I had not heard of it

After playing HC for a few keys, how are you feeling about it vs SH? Do you plan to keep going with HC for 10+ keys?
i've come to prefer HC affliction to soul harvester tbh, much more satisfying to play. plus I get a bit bored of the 1 minute burst window and then being low dps til it comes back up.

as allways nice video.. :) the mobs ability cd on nameplates what it is called? :)
thank you :)
those are from an addon called LittleWigs!
Do you use @cursor macros for Agony and interrupt?
I use @cursor for vile taint. my interrupt is just a normal ability, no macro or anything.
hi! Can I ask for your build of aura settings from weakAuras?
Hi, would you say ara trinket mythic track is way better than crystal mythic track?
How much of a damage difference is pet sac vs having the pet damage talent for situations like in the video where ya have to set the pet on passive?

Tried any demo in keys yet? seems to be doing well
i have done a little bit and it feels great. my next vid is me as destro and my friend playing demo in a key together!

Hey! Could you tell me which warlock spec is better suited for lower keys (up to +10)? So that it’s easier to get invited to groups? Thanks
Demo
Lower keys favor consistent bursts cause of low HP. Demo is probably the best choice. Even though i have tried demo at 11s and it pumps as well.

Im playing 2/2 contagion instead of cull the weak and i think its better
I'll keep that in mind, still trying to fine tune my own talent setup haha
i use qauziwows plater profile it tells who needs to do the interrupt so easy
Letssssss gooooooo
r u using curses?
