Frozen waterfalls are cool and all, but seeing a couple moose is way cooler.

Just beautiful! And the moose… 🥰. It really was magical in that weather - wasn’t fun on the roads though, at least where I was. New sub from me, look forward to seeing some more beautiful hikes.

Welcome to my channel🙏 The roads from Turner Valley were quite interesting, about a foot of slushy snow, followed a snow plow for part of the way, which was nice. Seeing the Mama Moose and her calf, just made the outing that much more special. A lot more hikes to come. Thanks so much for subscribing, watching and commenting.

I was there last week and had lunch and a sit by the river. It’s my fav place when the campground is closed

There used to be an old abandoned back country campground back there before parks shut it down The equestrian groups have been keeping hiking trails going back there for years. A lot of the old hiking books talk about this area here hiking in

We tried to get to the waterfall last year by the coal creek was not frozen. So we hiked wolf creek hill instead..

mid summer to fall if you get to that sign head upstream about 100 feet you will see a gravel bar that is the best place to cross but winter and summer only really a good idea if you are on horse back. the nearest bridge is all the way up to indian oils and that is s long way from where you are. , it is a shame there isnt a bridge there but also the other side of that river there is a lot of wet ground.

@@LIVEONALBERTA it is quite the crossing at times. be prepared for deep water even in summer. lots of good trails the other side but mostly all horse outfitters that way now.
