CREATING A JOURNAL POCKET PAGE & TAG

Do you enjoy junk journaling and art journaling? Do you like to get creative with mixed media and collage. Maybe like me you have lots of scrap papers sitting about as well as unused art supplies. So why not get creative with me and put them all to use. Let's turn those unused papers and supplies to good use and turn them into unique junk and art journal pages.
In this video I show how pages 12-15 for my 2024 concertina / accordion art journal / junk journal developed and I create page 16 which is a pocket that has a tag . This journal is about using my scraps and my stash of papers as well as a variety of art supplies. It's about turning trash to treasure or turning unused items to treasure. It is a mix of junk journaling and art journaling. It is a bit different - to usual journals as I will creating the journal page by page each week. I'll be using my scraps and using my stash as much as possible. #mixedmedia #useyourscraps #concertina

The concertina / accordion journal I am creating can be regarded as an #artjournal or a #junkjournal - it's up to you what you want to call yours.Whatever you call it, I will be showing how you can create each page using #collage and #mixedmediatechniques . Whether art journal pages or #junkjournalpages we are going to have fun turning #trashtotreasure. Whatever your style or preference for #journaling you can adapt this project to do what you enjoy most. Have fun.

i think the important thing is that you do this when YOU want to and that it doesn't become an obligation. I think that when it feels like you MUST do it, then it feels like a job. I know that people do TH-cam for various reasons, and I plan to start my own channel soon (wanted to start by now, then cancer in my family derailed my plans. Thankfully the outcome looks positive.) and I want to do it because I love to talk about art, and I hope it will help me with my own art process. I've never much cared if people post on a schedule but am delighted whenever you can put up a video. There should be no pressure.
I've watched your channel for some years now, and it is wonderful for several reasons. It's relaxing to watch. It gives me ideas and I want to try them. Experimenting means interesting art. Pus, we have a shared interest in cave paintings and that comes across in your artwork. I find it very "spiritual" (in quotations as that word means different things to different people.)
I am a medieval reenactor and I am using natural pigments to make my own paints and inks. Many of the colours you use are reminiscent of many of the ochres, verdigris, woad and natural colours that are relaxing and soothing, with splashes of brighter colours. I love the way you use these in particular and it's inspiring.
I know this is long, but your channel is wonderful to watch and is a joy. I want you to know that I, for one, appreciate you. We need to tell each other that as much as possible. ❤
