Ahaha my bookclub read Midnight is the Darkest hour when it came out and I think the vast majority of us did not like it much. The most common ratings were like 2-3.25 stars. We were all disappointed with it big time 😅
Even though my rating was just a tad higher than your book club's average, I totally agree - it was definitely a weak book! I think if she had cut 2 or 3 plot points out, it would have been much more refined. The whole book just seemed like TOO MUCH. 😜

What a fun video! I'm not a gamer, like a negative gamer lol, so I've never played Sims. It looks fun but I think it would turn into a huge time suck for me (know thyself, right?). I like the variety of books you read this week. I'm interested in Ashley Winstead's book (I've only read one of hers) just to see where I fall on the spectrum of readers. I've seen a huge range of reviews for this book, so who knows where I'd fall. I didn't love In My Dreams I Hold a Knife as much as some other people but thought it was decent. I think her romance books might be more my speed.
Ohhhhh the sims can be a MASSIVE time suck! I can get sucked in for hoursssss sometimes! 🤣 it was a really good variety week - i say go for Midnight is the Darkest Hour! I’ll be interested to hear what you think! 🌸

Your not a gamer but your boys are so what a bout like they say in comic book terms a team up using the one of your son’s favorite games I don’t know what there favorite games are . Here’s an example using my brother using the game watch dogs legion Jeremy my brother plays for 20 min depending on which character he’s playing I’d have to choose a book based on that character. Also here’s another idea if Jeremy is playing a game that team fighter I have choose books Based on the his team and books based on what team beat him . That might give some idea

Completely modded with 75,000+ CC. 🙀 But for my editing computer, I just grabbed the base game while it was free. Did you see this weekend they had a 40-60% off sale?! I MAAAAAYYYY have grabbed a few expansions for the editing computer since I got a lot of comments wanting this to be a series! 🥰 Full disclosure: When the Sims 4 first came out, I was right there with you...it felt incomplete, a bit boring, lack luster, & a step down from The Sims 3. But now, with all the packs, mods, & CC, I actually prefer 4 to 3! I wasn't a huuuuuuuge open world girly so the loading screens in 4 doesn't really bother me. Now when I switch back to 3, it feels less immersive to me 🫢
Hahahaha! I know a lot of people feel that way but you can’t deny that the graphics on 4 are FAR superior! Also, once my game was fully modded, it feels much more realistic! But I do acknowledge that a lot of people are diehard sims 3 fans! 🎉
