  • How BAD was Trent Richardson Actually?
Trent Richardson was the 3rd overall pick of the 2012 NFL draft. Richardson was drafted after the Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III (RG3). Trent Richardson was supposed to be the next great RB in the NFL but would be out of the league entirely in just a few short seasons.
But why exactly did that happen? How bad was Trent Richardson? These questions will be answered and more in my video.

Me (long time Gators fan) : l wanna play RB in the SEC
SEC: come on and play in our conference, but be warned, from 2005-present we run RBs into the ground until they get drafted, you might have 3 good years, but after that you're gonna be washed up, unless you're Derrick Henry

I’m a Bama fan and of all the backs that came out of the program under Saban, and I saw them all. Glenn Coffee, Mark Ingram, Kenyan Drake, Eddie Lacy, Derek Henry, Josh Jacobs, T.J. Yeldon, Brian Robinson, Richardson was the most talented. He rarely went down on first contact and it usually took multiple defenders to bring him down. Still a mystery to me why he was so ineffective as a pro. I guess some guys just peak in college.

Common issue I see with Bama backs is they had too much O line comfort in college. Sometimes leads to two things. One is struggling to find lanes, since the spaces are tighter. Two is physicality, as they were often used to having the way paved until they just have to outmuscle DBs. Derrick Henry completely overcame this. Najee Harris has for the most part so far. In time Mark Ingram carved out a nice career for himself. Richardson just couldn't.

Almost 300 carries as a rookie behind a top 5 O-line… most rookie RBs would kill for that kind of opportunity. Only thing Richardson tried killing was the buffet

Here’s the real problem, Cleveland was god awful, they were horrible, a running back can only be hood if his line blocks for him and if the qb is making good throws, because if the qb and wr are not doing their job than the defense doesn’t have to worry about them and can focus on stopping the run, and if the OL isn’t helping out, you could have the greatest running back ever to live on your team and he would average 1.5 yards a carry, that’s just a fact

At the time Browns were a 500 team which is awful 🤣 but not God awful. Our 1 hit 1der Peyton Hillis was cut & 💩bag MIKE HOLMGREM made them God awful
