      @@williamgray9692 context will let you know LBJ spent his entire career in the East which was the weakest we’ve seen it in the modern day nba. He’s barely top 15 given the competition, and of course he’s going to have good individual stats when he’s the number one option, 6”9 250lbs and athletic in a weak conference. His longevity was always the goal he knew in a limited time span his career would amount to being mediocre. His greatest competition was a very young Celtics team, Drose carrying a bad Bulls team, and PG Pacers. Most his competition was always very young or past or at the end of their Prime. Not knocking him that he came at the right time but he doesn’t get credit for it. Any other sport or players we’d call this out but LBJ is shielded since he’s the face of the league.

      * Would Steph have won those two rings without KD - Would Magic have won without Kareem? Would MJ have won without Scottie? Would LeBron have won without D Wade? Why only ask this question about Steph?
      * "But KD made it to a finals without Steph" - Ok, so now we're giving credit to going to finals and losing? So then I guess Steph gets credit for going to the finals two more times and losing those, right? No? Why not? What logical reason can Rob give for giving KD credit for going to a finals and losing but not giving Steph credit for going to TWO finals and losing?
      Some of his arguments were so illogical (like knocking Steph for losing in the play in last year) that it doesn't deserve addressing. He's a sports shock jock, nothing more. When major sporting events happen, he's the last person I want to turn to to get their opinion. He's even worse than Skip Bayless, which is hard to do!

Harrison Barnes was a bum. They needed an upgrade at that position and KD was available so it worked out. Steph was the only superstar on that team as well no matter how much success they had.
    This championship just showed they needed someone better than Harrison Barnes but not as great as KD. And that’s Wiggins. Steph is one of the most fun players to watch, and is an amazing talent. He is definitely an all-time great player. However, I don't think there is any way he can considered top 10 all-time. Look at the current generally accepted top 10..... Jordan, Lebron, Kareem, Russel, Magic, Wilt, Shaq, Bird, Duncan, and Kobe. The only guy on this list without multiple all-defensive team awards is Magic. Are you really gonna put Steph over Magic in the top 10? Magic has a slightly better career defensive rating as Steph, and is more versatile on defense because of this unusual size for his position. Steph's career is not yet over, and he may have more titles and MVP's coming his way..... However, as of now, I don't see any reasonable argument for him to be considered top 10. Now, if you wanna make a top 10 list POST MERGER, Russell and Wilt are out, and that would give Steph a potential spot. I would still take Hakeem over Steph all-time, but after that, he's in the mix. I think Giannis will finish with a better all-time spot, but we'll see. I love these debates!

    • @resimatemaluleke9096
      @resimatemaluleke9096 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think honestly you have to take out old players like wilt and Kareem for the simple fact that like everything else basketball experiences evolution. These guys played in much different seasons with less pace and less need for good decision making because the game used to be to pass to the big man n let them score in the paint. There’s a reason wilt got 100 points without and 3pt shots. In the Modern era the closest anyone got was Kobe and he took a significant amount of 3s. Old stats especially big man stats like rebounds are always stacked in older generations because of the gameplay style. As talented as wilt and Kareem were if you put them in the modern nba do they affect winning as much? Where floor spacing is a thing ? You’d have Kareem at the top of the key totally unable to guard perimeter players like what Rudy garbage I mean Gobert looks like. Maybe they’d be effective in the post today but because of how 3s are important they would not be able to affect winning as much for the fact that they would have to put in way more effort for similar results. The best big in the league arguably Giannis is only that fast because he is not necessarily too big but he does have a lot of length. Generally the trade off for height is speed. So I just see a slow wilt n slow Kareem getting killed in the NBA today n that’s why I can live with them being out

    I'm on Robs side. however, I don't agree with his approach to this argument. Steph has 4 NBA championships (kudos to him for that) however, it hurts Steph that 3 of his titles are questionable. I mean... had Love and Irving been healthy and played in the 2015 finals. Cleveland would have most definitely won that Championship. they proved they were the better team when they humiliated this same Warriors team in the 2016 finals. I think the Warriors are a great team, but to me they lucked out when they faced and injured riddled (in the same way Toronto would later beat the Warriors) Cleveland squad 2015. then they got Durant and became unbeatable superteam for the next two seasons. so, it's hard for me to put Steph in the top 10 when 3 of his 4 titles were hardly earned. I'm sorry but no they couldn't. when you go up 3 games to 1 and still lose? that was pretty much meant to be. and goes to show how good the Cavs were when healthy. Like I said. had the Cavs been healthy in both series. I think they would have won both finals. I think the Warriors would have taken them to a game 7 in both series. but in the end, usually the team with the best superstar wins. and LeBron with a healthy Irving and Love would have won both series in my opinion.
      "They still even beat the rockets,"
      The rockets were the biggest chockers in the NBA at that time. btw, Durant played in that series. and was the best player on the Warriors during that series.
      "and swept the blazers to make the finals in 2019 without KD."
      The Trailblazers aren't a championship team. the Warriors should have beaten them.
      "And were going to win that game 6 if klay didnt get hurt. "
      Like I said before. the Raptors lucked out just like the Warriors did in 2015. and maybe you would have won game 6. but you can't deny that had Durant been healthy in that series. most likely the Warrior would be leading going into game 6... if the series even got that far at all.
      "And anyone who wasnt a boased fool,knew that once they got their team back...they'd be in the finals again. And now look at them. First uear theu got their team back they win "
      Not gonna lie, I though the Warriors were done (and i don't think that makes me a fool) I thought Klay wouldn't be the same player after his injuries, and with the loss of Durant. I didn't think the Warriors would be able to replace him. but the Warriors front office did a great job retooling this franchise and mixing in young talented player to go with the older veterans. however, this current championship doesn't erase the fact that Curry won 1 title by default and was second fiddle to Durant in the other two. as his team was clearly superior to any other team in the NBA at that point. so, I can't place him in top 10 list. top 15, yes... top 10? no.
