@TheZeagon mod jed (who got fired) known in the pvp community years ago as "rotjed" definitely funnelled information such as ip's for people who pk'd in max. Leaked information for finals locations etc its happened before and isnt really out of the question of happening again.
There is a substantial ammount of irl money that pvpers and others make from rwt. I personally bought a car and flights to bali for a holiday with odds staking and rwt years ago when duel arena and swapping gp first couple days during early seasons of deadman came out.
They should’ve dropped zuk, nex, hydra, Verzik, old and coded them to multi attack.

No whitelist for swatting, police are legally obligated to respond as if it’s a real threat. You can reach out to your local pd and they’ll know that it could be a false threat but it’s still a massive pain in the ass at least in America. With information being so public nowadays they can easily swat your parents house, your workplace if you aren’t a full time streamer or content creator. It’s just not worth putting yourself and family in danger. I’d imagine most ppl aren’t worried about rot showing up to their door cause they’d just get shot if they try shit but that isn’t the issue with address leaks.
Shame really because I own a pretty large online business that could create awesome rs themed merch but I don’t want any connection to some of the weirdos in the rs community

The alternative is that actual criminals whitelist themselves beforehand and then cops never come.
You can contact your local police station and let them know it could happen they will still show up and search make sure everything is ok but most of them won’t kick your door in and gun you down.

If RoT didn't spend a tremendous amount of rw money on all of their accounts, the entire clan and everyone associated with it would of been purged from this game years ago. Jagex likely wishes they could afford to roll out a mass ban but their shareholders/executives aren't going to stand for that

Jagex hosting these tournaments without proper safeguards in place while they have people compete for a prize is absolutely insane. Youd expect admins of the game to just be online making sure shit like that didnt happen.
Multi boxing is iffy. Because normal multi boxing like I do which is: I have 2 accounts doing DKS at once and I click on each account to do actions. Thats not against the rules.
What we are seeing here is Macro Multi Boxing, which is 1 click performs actions on all open clients. Which is bannable

I know an old pk streamer that quit streaming and pretty much disappeared from everything after they joined rot. Which doesnt make sense cause he was pretty cool, talked to him on discord and everything for a good while. When I last talked to him he said he couldnt say much but it has been a couple years. They're making good money obviously in not so good ways to give up the following he had. ROT can claim what they want, can cover their tracks, but at the end of the day, they know what they are doing.

I don't know if this got answered at 18:00 but in the states at least most police departments can't or won't do this, as it would be a very convenient excuse for an actual maniac to give the police to avoid possible law enforcement interference with their nefarious activities. As nice as it would be, they just legally can't white list you so getting doxed by these maniacs can actually be very annoying.
Apart from swatting they're able to do things such as social engineer utility companies to get your water or electricity shut off. Call landscaping companies and have mulch dropped off on your lawn or in your drive way, have multiple food delivery companies come bring food at all hours of the day. Call escorts or other "on-call" entertainment to your house. All these things are services you pay for with cash at the door or after it's complete so it's very easy to get endlessly harassed by these freaks.

Multi boxing has been around for ages in osrs and Jagex hasn't been known to ban anyone doing this to my knowledge. People have been doing this for years at Corp.

Swatting is one of those internet myths. First of all the police dont even show up to real calls until hours later if at all, and they trace all calls so just putting yourself in more risk trying it. the only reason a few pkers in my clan didnt participate in ddm this year is because of all the bots that ruined the game mode for them last year. the hype caused people to forget about the past. I'm glad Oda and Condor are exposing this. Pking bots are so difficult to detect because it has to be predictive switching opposed to bossing where its the same routine. sur pugger also showed a video of all the bloodbark pk bots running at the wildy bosses.

There was a streamer who had a troll who doxed him, and in one of his "Jokes" he had the swat team arresting him on stream because someome called saying he was threatening people with a bomb.

regarding the doxxing, not everyone is a content creator that is comfortable with their real name and info being public. it's uncomfortable having your real info released to people who don't need to know it and it's weird as shit. you have all these reasons why doxxing isn't a big deal FOR YOU, but you're a reasonable enough person to admit that very few people would share most of them.
also, there is no "whitelisting" yourself to the police in america. you can go to your local pd and present information (if you're lucky enough to have evidence) that would show there's a real threat of being swatted but these are NOT taken seriously until it's too late most of the time. it's unfortunate, but it's extremely easy to commit cybercrimes and very rarely do people face punishment.
