I went to sleep that night in my parents' room because I was spooked about something. That night, being in my parents' room saved me by moments. we were notified of the tornado just a minute after we were all in the bathroom, the power going out less than 30 seconds later. 500 yards from my house the tornado touched down, and we could hear the winds louder than my 8-year-old brother's cries. Though no windows were damaged, our living room was flooded. My friends stayed under a tunnel near main street as the building around them were nearly blown to bits.
