Hi, if I have a NodeMCU ESP8266, the voltage to make this work is 3.3V and maximum is 3.6V. will i still be able to connect the Vcc of the Relay to the 3.3V pin on the Node?? I can see in your video you are using a NodeMCU ESP32 which can withstand a voltage of 5V
Yes you can connect to relay to 3.3v

IF THE SOLENOID LOCK HAS 12V , THE BATTERY SHOULD BE IN 12V TOO? ALSO, THE ESP8266 RELAY I HAVE ONLY HAVE 5V, RX, TX, GND. NO VCC AND IN. HOW WILL I CONNECT THAT TO ESP32
Use a buck converter and set the voltage to 5v and then give it to esp32

Yes the code will works fine you have to connect a relay module to esp8266 then it will work

@@CreativePradeep I would also like to make a change with the code, I want the lock to be able to unlock when the power goes out so there’s a type of fail safe option. Would I be able to just add that code in anywhere or would I need to delete code and attach it in and write the code round that function?

It is header pins I have solder it on a vero board that it's self you can connect it directly with jumper wires
