Hi Kelly a few additions to the list are:
the cosrx cica and propolis toners layered - a great way to get lightweight and layered soothing
the Benton goodbye redness sheet mask - this is a real rescue remedy for me and does just what it says and takes down redness quickly.
the dear, Klairs soothing sheet mask is a hit of moisture for dry/irritated skin - use this and seal in the hydration/moisture with a layer of moisturiser and then a layer of either cicaplast or Avene cicalfate - perfection and soft soothed skin in the morning.
Avene cicalfate lip balm is the BEST for cold weather chapped lips and is super healing - in my opinion better than most of the hyped lip masks/balms.
pure whipped shea butter is a must have for the cold weather and can be used on any dry patch of skin - it's a great thing to carry around in your handbag.
urea based moisturisers are great for the body and the body can benefit from higher percentages. I use a 30% urea cream on feet, elbows and knees under a richer cream or balm. The one I use is from SVR, but there are many on the market from a variety of brands. I also have to up my body exfoliation in cold weather and use a lactic acid lotion under my rich moisturiser on alternate days to the urea cream - keeps my skin in much better condition.
I have super dry, menopausal, rosacea and eczema prone skin - these are some real winners for me and my hyper reactive skin, so hopefully they'll help some others out there. Best wishes.

I have all of these products and they are all great for my dry skin! The most recent addition is the Purito Centella Recovery Cream, I actually found this cream to be the most effective in relieving redness and itchiness for me.

I love the Straita Liquid Gold. It’s a beautiful product. I have ordered the new peptide moisturiser and looking forward to trying these two products together. One of my favourite masks is the I’m from Honey mask. My skin feels moisturised and soft afterwards. I also like using the Purito Centella unscented cream which helps soothe my skin and I use it around my lips and nose especially when I have a cold and my skin becomes sore from the tissues. I also love the illiyoon ato ceramide cream and the I’m from rice cream. I have also been using the Biossance omega cream and the Purito sleeping mask. Love your videos xx

Odele has a fragrance free shampoo and conditioner that focuses on very sensitive scalps. It has a good amount of moisture to soothe the scalp. Often those dandruff shampoos have ingredients that strip the scalp of moisture and continue the cycle of dryness.
You can also try an oil mask before shampooing and conditioning. I love Oshima Tsubaki oil for this, really rub it into the itchy areas and let sit for 20 mins before jumping in the shower!

I especially enjoy your video when you take on the topic of cold weather. I live in Canada with is sorta similar to your rash cold weather in Wisconsin. I need that advice on what to layer on my skin to keep it plump and hydrated. It will be my second winter of using Tret so I need all the help I can get.

Hi Kelly. Question I have had dryness on my forehead. I thought it was dehydration. Then I thought it was either irritated or just dry. I've tried everything and can't get rid of it. I wash with cerave hydrating cleanser, uria essence after then grean tea calming serum finish with crave lotion. I stopped my timeless vitamin C and curology. My skin is not tight ,itchy or irrated. I'm 52 years old. Any suggestions. Thank you

There's something almost onomatopoeic about the word "centella" that, if I didn't know how it worked, I would assume it was something soothing because that's what its name does for me. It's like on The Good Place when they would wake up in front of that sign on the wall that says "Everything is fine." Hearing the word alone just makes me smile and relax.

I wish we had that LRP hydrating cleanser in Australia. I believe there’s one under another name for the local market; it says its for the body but do you think its ok for the face since they say that it can be used on babies?

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes I've seen it under a different name too, although I can't recall what it is. If the formula is the same should be fine for face. LRP does a lot of cleansers that can be both body and face and are super gentle.

Love your content ! I have Stradia liquid gold, Cicaplast B5 and Cerave Healing ointment on your recommendations 😄 Love!!
I recently picked up Derm E scar gel because of a sale and I like their mineral sc for dry skin days. Wow! was I impressed. It has Panthenol , Allantoin and Onion bulb extract! I have found it to be a light but very effective slugging mask. It's aqueous gel texture was surprisingly soothing but not heavy at all! It does have slight medicinal smell and "natural Fragrance oils" listed so be cautious. For me though, no issues and I even like putting on my hands and cuticles! Nurse, so always washing my hands. Sorry for the novel but wondered if you had tried it or any other Derm E products? ❤️

So glad those recommendations worked for you! I have the Derma E Destress CBD Serum which I like, it's really creamy and kind of thick (which has a time and place for me in winter) and has some tamanu oil which I love. My skin hasn't been truly dry enough to give it a proper testing but I think it will be handy in the coming months. I have the Check and Eye corrector from this line as well which is a calming cream with a little green tint to even out redness on skin, it's really good!
