Manchester City is an extremely tough opposition to topple. The consistency of this City machine is outrageous. For example, last season, the title was decided because of Arsenal's away lost to Aston Villa. The title gauntlet went down to the wire and was decided on the last fixture of the campaign. The Arsenal practically matched Manchester City stride for stride last season, yet they fall short. From my humble opinion, City's competitive advantage over the Arsenal derives from the deeper and better squad depth. Even after a major revamp over the past 3 seasons, the Arsenal still lacks the numbrs and quality to supercede Manchester City. They only have 22 senior members in their 25 men squad. The deficiency is both in quality and numbers. The suplus in requirement of Tierney not only occupies the wage bill but does not add to the quality of requirement. From whatever perspective we look at it, they should have signed another player in the summer transfer window apart from the 4 incomings of Calafiori, Merino, Neto and Raheem Sterling. From the lack of depth quality to the like for like perspective, this additional signing is critical for the Arsenal. Ideally speaking, they are 2 signings away from the complete revamp. Not unless their academy players, like Ethan Nwaneri can step up to fill the void.
Arsenal currently have a cover for every position on the field, so I will say yes, missed 7 players with 4 of those (Odegaard, Merino, Rice & Calafiori) arguably starters
I’m going to argue and say only Odegaard and Rice are guaranteed starters, Merino and Califiori have Partey and Timber as competition which is no drop off in quality

Hopefully wrong but don't see Arsenal squad as strong enough with all the games we have to play and the opposition in City. We also haven't played very well so far.
In short the answer is "No" It only takes you to look at the depth on the bench after the window closed when we played Brighton and Rice was sent off to see we are limited with attacking options. We can't hang our hats on Saka being able to play 40 plus games for the 3/4 consecutive season which doesn't include International games. Or Trossard coming up with important goals off the bench every other week. Martinellii who can't seem to find his form. And Jesus who is injured more than he's fit. We didn't have the depth to play on all fronts before we let ESR, Nelson and Eddie go... so we haven't got it now either. We are very very VERY reliant on our defence excelling again this season again but an injury to Gabriel or Saliba and we are compromised quite a bit
If you cant trust the players already in your squad to do the business, which players are you trusting then? Those not in the club? Trossard has shown undoubtedly that he can score at least 15 goals a season. Kindly explain why I shouldn't trust that he can come up with those numbers again? Man city wingers are currently not putting up those number. Yes, they have a cheat code in Halland, bit Grealish, Doku and others are not scoring much.
