This is about normal... maybe a little slow. However, upgrading software to newest release would be a good idea. I would first clone the settings using Centre ware Internet Services before doing so. Navigate to CWIS typing the printer IP into a networked computers browser to access, then clone.
I got a Lexmark x950de. It’s based off a similar xerox printer. Same toners same drums everyone is the same except the enclosure and the screen part. It seems that the Lexmark’s are lot faster at booting up from a cold boot. Around 1 minute or less for me. Although they are legit based off these Xerox’s
Interesting observation. Last I knew Lexmark seemed to use a lot of Dell/Samsung base equipment for their small office laser printers. Interesting to know they are using Xerox stuff for the large photocopier stuff.
@@freenameYeah but they seem to be more reliable for some reason except those drums. I had a bad experience with OEM drums that got scratched some how and got discolored causing little dots on the paper. Aliexpress aftermarket Xerox drums seem to do a better job with prints and reliability.
4 minutes.. Man that's not a machine to turn it on to print 2 pages for school... It's normally used to print all day long and let it in sleep mode rest of the time
I have a 7835 and it does not start. shows the home screen and after about 20 seconds all the screen goes off and continues on the home screen ... could someone help me
Biswanath Mahala Most likely a sensor /actuator is stuck or a scrap of paper that was left after a jam removal is covering a sensor. On screen instructions for jam clearance may guide you to the right area.
Just very, very frustrated with the copier. I would not recommend. This video is here to show other potential buyers just how long it takes to start up.
icannotgetafreename the new c8000 series boots up in half the time. Other than boot up time it's a real cool piece of kit. My recommendation is not to turn it off and just let it sleep.

They are awful machines. I think Xerox are the only people who can help you here. Probably needs a new hard disk.

May need a software reload and /or new board/hard drive. You would need to place a service call likely.
Take a sim card from a working maching of d same model. Insert it and then restart it. I hope it solve d problem.
New firmware cuts down the time to a much more reasonable 2.5 minutes
