The exhaust is fine. Dont change a thing man. It sounds amazing.
As a unofficial honda shadow PR apologist let me just say first, welcome to the shadow family. The more the merrier. Second and this is my opinion backed by years and tens of thousands of miles in sun rain snow and mud with a 99 honda shadow 750. I'll start this off by saying it's one of my favorite motorcycles before i even owned bikes. It was practical. That being said my advice is one of two paths the first being the one that seems more you. Stay stock but refresh everytime. OEM these bikes are dead reliable. OEM parts are cheap robust and easy to install or locate a mechanic who can. My first time having carb issues i had to walk into a shop and hand them a rebuild kit and say please. I didn't have a summer to figure it out. You're gonna want the baffles back in the exhaust if they're already out. They usually are drilled out already. It's a clean bulletproof suburban cruiser. Route number 2, get some combra high flow, stage 2 jet, velocity stack, advance the timing 4 degrees, and if you've got the chain driven model like mine drop your rear sprocket to 36 and the front to 16. (Or just go 38 tooth rear for a more highway usable end result) upgrade the clutch spring, and bam, honda shadow is now a super mean, incredibly lean, city crushing rock and roll machine. My most recent honda shadow 750 I've put 18k miles on in 2 years. Rode all winter last year through the snow and everything.
I have that grin every time I hop on my shadow, great vid man!
Nice one. :) Enjoyed.
Well, whoever that lady is, does she have a sister? Lol! That's a fine ride... I have an '09 750 Aero... I've had it 9 years & put around 35,000 miles on it & it still runs just like it did when I bought it & has never used a drop of oil... it's got well over 40,000 miles on it, because it had 5,941 miles on it when I got it... not my only bike, but it's my favorite bike...very nice bikes to ride around on, & I've made long road trips on mine too...very dependable & capable machines...you will love it...and yeah, that throaty pipe sound that pisses off neighbors is part of the fun! Lol! 🖖🏿😎👍🏿
I have same bike. With Vance and Hines pipes and risers. The only thing I don't like is the 2 tone paint. I want a new paint job
@@Sudar2424 mine is black with snakeskin flames... factory paint... only offered in 2009, & only on the 750 Aero... I'm not a big fan of black bikes... It's been so overdone, but those flames are why I've never painted it...
Mines a 2009 as well and an aero but it's the two tone blue and silver
@@Road_Rash I had to look it up. I'm so jealous
They didn't make many of them either... mine is the only one I've ever seen in person... seen several pics online, but I've never met anyone else who has one...yet another reason it'll never be repainted...🖖🏿😎👍🏿
Sound amazing,pretty looking bike🤘🏼
Cheers bro!
My VT1100C Spirit is 20 years old. Still going.
The newer fuel injected 750s get a lot better MPG than my old gal.
I have the shadow spirit VT1100 and love it.
5:47 hey dude I have a 2002 Honda Shadow and I love mine also I love to just cruise around and shift the gears yes sir!
I have the same bike, same exhaust, and you're right: riding that bike on a beautiful day is just a joy. And as much as I hate to admit it, I'm starting to really love the obnoxiously excessive noise level. #guiltypleasure Also you were talking about the comfort level of the cruiser vs. sport riding positions. Make sure you take note of how vastly improved your field of view is when you're in that more upright riding position. You'll take in a lot more of the scenery.
The happiness is what got me man your awesome keep up the content I’d love to see what you get into next
Aye thanks man!
I love the bike! ❤
I have an 03 Honda Shadow ACE with cobra shot gun pipes 😅 I like being loud, I’m seen.
Love the bike and the exzos sound is super..
Great vid! I’m buying mine soon and can’t wait to have the same experience. So sweet of your partner too! Ride safe
I enjoyed your video, look a lot of people move on but l do love it now, its reliable its rugged never had a problem with mine its one of those bikes you can depend on. Ye l have a few bikes but the shadow has a place in my life. Cheers enjoyed your well presented vid 😊
Thankyou for stopping by!
I sometimes think about the Shadow. But you're right, everyone is different and has different rides.
All bikes are cool!
Man i heard those stock seats were like a lounge chair. For a trip i would take that.
Yep, pretty comfy!
Cups the butt!
I'm 5 ft 8 72 years old and his bike I like the loudness of it so you sell it but I'm going to keep mine for a while until I can't ride anymore
awesome vid mate going to look at an 01 shadow tomorrow and i'm super pumped!
Niceeeee! Good luck and ride safe!
You need to sell it , buy her a diamond ring and keep her . You’ll get another one. She did that for you. 99% of women out there wouldn’t. She passed the test .
Those hines exhaust? I have some and love how mines sound man. nice bike ride safe
Yes sir!
I'm definitely starting to like them more now after a month or so!
the exhaust are great. just put some ear plugs in. I wish I could get those pipes for my bike. But I have an 1100.
Nice
Good to see the Honda Shadow VT750. Honda factory seats are universal and are uncomfortable. An Air Hawke cushion is an option. the air cushion can also give you height depending how much air is pumped into them. My old 2005 Shadow retired in 2014 after many years of daily commuting, it needs a lot of gaskets and TLC. I like the note on your exhaust, what pipes are you running on your Shadow?
These are the Short Shot exhausts from vance & Hines.
Not sure if still available though.
Nice bike!
get some floor boards for it an some lean back risers.
Sounds like a $40,000 Harley Davidson
hahah personally i hated it.. but i do see the appeal.
Subscribed!🙋♂️
Just bought a 2006 shadow for $560 from an auction. I’ve NEVER rode a motorcycle so idk what I’m going to do 😂
i ride a 99 honda shadow 750 ace have been riding since i was with a biker club here in the us about 6 year s my bike has straight plpes the louder the better you can be heard and seen people don,t like too bad but did you check or change the oil and check the tires and radiater make sure you do and get you some saddlebags i have them on mine
Pull the choke enough to get "RPM's UP" for oil circulation at start up. It's not a harley that have dry sump oiling system. If you want it to sound like a harley buy one.
Check the Honda Magna
Does it cruise comfortably at 110 kph as I’m looking at upgrading to it when I’m fully licensed I have the exact bike in the 400
I wouldn't say it cruises comfortably.
You can do it, but it's not a comfortable ride (atleast mine wasn't).
I rode 5hrs at 110 and hated it.
You might find that a windshield will make a world of a difference.
Good vid, except for the simping in the middle! 👍🏽
I live to simp
How fast does it run comfortably?
120kmph, but mine needed a tune, i've ridden other shadows and they were zippier, but i think the top speed would be around the same.
Did u check the age of the tires?
Yeah , they are fine :)
Ordered a hot chocolate...
I like.
So it's been couple months could you point at any problems that I should be aware of before buying
can't even afford one it's just I'm doing my research but honda shadow will be the one
Will do an update video soon!
@@Alanathome that's awesome
Stay safe man
Can you kill the bs music, please? I really don’t want to hear that crap exiting out
