I love all of these makeovers! I think I would go back to your brothers house and paint the kitchen table legs black then recover the top with peel and stick wallpaper (no residue) in a blue to match
Not only have you done beautiful transformations on rooms, you have done an AWESOME transformation on yourself! As someone who has,& is struggling with weight, you give me inspiration! Thank you, Cas! And as someone already said, i love the short stories at the end of your vlogs! Best wishes on your interview for firefighting!
I love love love the fact that you are not afraid to dig in and give of yourself for others. You've come a long way and I am here for it. Thank you so much for adding a ray of sunshine to my life.
So I received your email stating you got hate mail in regards to Milo’s bedroom make over! WHY CANT PEOPLE JUST ZIP THE LIP ?! Milo’s room looks amazing and his love and thrill when he saw it was absolutely genuine! What a great little guy you have Cass and Joe! Thank you Cass for all you do to serve so many people! Hugs and love, Barb D 🥰
Hello from mom from Poland so sorry for my English. I love your sense of humor so you are making declutter more fun than unpleasant duty. I have just decluttered my reuse bottles before my coffe maker has done my coffe. Thank you.
My husband is a firefighter. There is a tough physical test that needs to be taken (here in the US). I would definitely start with weight training. It strengthens your muscles and will start to improve your cardio endurance. ❤
I'm confused about the firefighting thing because I'm from Spain and here getting to be a firefighter is really hard. It's not a few weeks things, people prepare for years. It's not only the physical tests, there's theory exams, you have to learn all sorts of laws and regulations, you have learn all the roads in the area you are going work, the peaks hights, for some reason, and a bunch of technical things. There are psychothecnics. Sometimes you have to demostrate you are a credited electrician, bricklayer, something like that, and there are aditional tests for that.. And you also need to have permits to drive all sort of trucks, and there's a driving test as well... It's a lot.

I've used that stick on wallpaper on my daughter's bedside table and bookcase, it covered yucky stains that had built up over time and looks so nice. On the bedside table i do admit the corners are coming off in a couple of places but that's mostly because I'm pretty sure she picks at it 😅 but in either case I can always just do it again! Such a cheap and easy thing to do though, highly recommend
Love these older videos of a room redo on a budget. My budget is about zero, but all the organizing and clutter removal has made such a giant difference already. Always love your videos!
I love the fact you can declutter, clean, paint and repurpose on a very small budget. Paint is one of the most cost effective decorating tools. It can make a HUGE difference!
Yes! Covered my kitchen table with a peel and stick fake granite it has been 3 years and it is still in pretty good shape even with 3 teen boys. A few nicks, but you can't see them because of the pattern.
Love these budget friendly makeovers! I live in Paraguay and don’t have access, or funds, to do major things, but these ideas really get my creative juices flowing!😊
Wow!! Cas!! You did amazing in decorating (made over) your brother’s house!! I had fun watching how excited you were decorating his house! And it came out absolutely amazing!! 😮🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for your video Cass, I need to do a whole house make over, We've been here 6 years and this place is in desperate need of decluttering and decorating. I want my home not just a place to live but a place where we want to live a home that makes us feel good and not overwhelmed. I think our biggest issue we need to get over is the worry of being homeless again and having to pack everything in a panic.
That must have been terrifying we were nearly made homeless about 38 years ago we just sold the house before the building society took it from us you never forget l think we are both very lucky many are not try and enjoy your home best wishes from Lynda
@@lyndaward5179 Thank you so much Lynda! I have actually been homeless twice in my life, once as a child and then again as a parent. It leaves scares that never fully heal.
Cute, oversized flowers, but I’d never do something like that because of the dusting that would be needed over time. However, I love the idea of jazzing up a neutral room with pops of one or two colors!
I understand your. Concern with the 3D flowers. But as they were home made using craft paper once they get over dusty, maybe once a year. Throw them in the bin and make new ones.
Another great video! I am on your email list and was saddened to hear about the hate mail about Milo’s bedroom. Why are people so critical and hurtful? It takes a thick skin to do what you do and I, for one of thousands, think you are great!
I love how Canadian Hudson is "Look at that, eh?" And I love that you embrace what people want to have out, your brother's Star Wars stuff and all Stephanie's quirky stuff from her makeovers - not just bowls full of wooden beads and white walls! Love your style Cas!
The couch looks like a recliner. I found out last year that they actually make slipcovers for recliners (both sofas and chairs) so you can recline without any issues i got one online for cheap and have been pretty happy with it.

I’d seen and loved most of these, because I’ve been following you for years (great reminders). The changes you made to the boat picture added so much depth!😎 BUT I LOVED the “hideous” red tray, which would look great in my black & white with a few red accents room-three red vases, a tiny heart shaped pillow, red roses-had a bouquet of red, silk roses until the new kitty decided silk flowers were GREAT deconstruction fun. Dana’s decluttering method and your organizing methods have changed my life. I’m a CrickBee (a BeeKet?). I’d been trying to organize like a total Cricket (before I started following you). THEN the clouds parted (Dana) and the sun (you) came through to light the way! I can’t handle being a Cricket all of the time. Some things just need to be more accessible (Bee) and easier (Bee with just a hint of Ladybug). The two of you also helped me to help my parents (Ladybug and CrickBee, I think). You guys R O C K !!!
Thanks, Cas! I have Watched many of these videos when they first came out, but had not seen your brother's house, and your mother-in-law's room. They are both so beautiful with clever ideas.
Shame on people having issue with your son's room. It is his room and should be designed to his preferences. You could tell he was happy with his reaction when he first came in and flopped on the bed. Looked to me like pure bliss. Keep it up...I love watching your videos and you have helped me with the decluttering -- I still have quite a way to go as my husband doesn't share my desire to declutter. lol... I won't give up!

Very cool! I loved Milo's bedroom redo, but also love that you included this more budget-friendly redos. They look GREAT! BTW, how did you attach those giant flowers to the wall?! Also, nice to see Stephanie again. I remember her from past hilarious videos! Good luck with the fire fighting interview 🤗
Lots of great ideas here! For whiteboard or blackboard space, there are great wallpaper panels (just "clings" so they're simple to remove or reposition.). I put a blackboard panel on the back side of the kitchen island for my daughter... she's used chalk, sidewalk chalk, and chalk markers (similar to dry erase but for blackboards) on it over the years. I think she loved having a "wall" that was OK to draw on!
Creative ideas! I like the last room done on video. Transforming old furniture is seen as more doable than I thought. I don't agree with throw pillows. I get they add color and style but my opinion is they're a nuisance to the function of the furniture and definitely don't belong in a bachelor pad. They get in the way. I have decorative pillows for my bed and they hardly make it on the bed. And to have to move pillows to sit on a couch just seems like a waste. I get decorative aspect but I guess I prefer function and simple.
As much as I disagree with you about nuteral colors having any place in any space, I love so many of your other tips. I currently have a couple items I was looking at doing some peel and stick wall paper makeovers of, but hadn't made a final decision partly so it's great hearing that it's realistic for that to hold up.
I would love a video of you walking us through the steps of painting a painting. Does it need to be canvas? What kind of paint do you use when covering something completely? What kinds of paint for partially changing a picture, etc.
We bought a 1957 house 3 years ago. Nobody ever changed the kitchen. I used Walmart contact paper to cover the tiles by the sink and stove. It's a marble look and people don't know it's contact paper unless they look close. I need to paint the mustard yellow walls now. P.S. I love the "stayed to the end" part of the videos. I almost want to skip to the end THEN watch the rest. :) Good for you to go for it. Every town needs more firefighters. You can totally do it!
These rooms are fantastic! Your paintings are art gallery worthy, for sure. I especially LOVE the one at 12:50! I have less-than-zero artistic talent, but you are truly an artist. And a decorator. You have a talent to make a cohesive whole. I'd rather see these budget makeovers any day. In these days of sky-high prices, using our own decor in different ways, or using yard sale finds is the only way most people are going to be able to afford to decorate and furnish their homes! Could you start a series about this?
I haven't watched for a little. This was so much fun!! Love the makeovers, and your brother's place! Nice! And you look really fabulous!! Love you in that blue! Blessings! 💙💙💙
Cas you can anything you set your mind to!!! I love your videos. You have come such a long way. If you want to do the Fire fighter thing, start talking to some so you have an idea on what's most important. Your heart is in the right place and everything else will fall in line as you work for it. 😃❣
Thank you for showing realistic room makeovers on a budget. We live on my hubbys SSDI and I want to redo our master bedroom.
You can also go thrifting for coffee table books and use the pictures from there to frame.
Botanical prints, castles, trees, bridges, airplanes...
Ooh I like this!
I’ve taken photos from calendars and framed them. You’d never know I got them from a calendar, and they worked so well in my space.

Cas you can anything you set your mind to!!! I love your videos. You have come such a long way. If you want to do the Fire fighter thing, start talking to some so you have an idea on what's most important. Your heart is in the right place and everything else will fall in line as you work for it. 😃❣
Love these fresh ideas !
