I remember when I was little we would celebrate the Fourth of July over at my Great Aunt & Uncles House, and there would be those old fashioned ice cream makers all lined up along one wall down in the basement; where it was cool. There is something very unique on your entire ouvre of your videos. It's sort of (and don't take this the wrong way...) a vaguely unhinged horror film thing first person POV thing... Decorated with old lady style doily and lace curtain stuff, like if my irish Grandmother was on LSD and watched too many Steven King films... Your style is great though... i just can't tell if its intentionally creepy especially with the old school tapestry stuff, digital "analog" dust and faux camera frame slips and cigarette burns, and your breathy narrative... if it isn't, it's even cooler and creepier though! Nothing pains me more than little kids and animals hurt and they just don't understand why they can't be like the other kids/puppies/kitties. Broke my heart to see him bravely grinning in that halo, my god. Early childhood stuff like that will make him stronger later on though i guess is the consolation here. So as a kindred spirit in PDX and using visual images and words to elicit desired responses, I'd love to help if i could and it's not like a way to stalk you, i genuinely have a soft spot for fellow creatives. Your videos just touched me in a weird way like "oh my god, she's either a genius or a mental patient!" and if you're like me, it's sort of a little of both haha! I've been involved professional more in the writing side more than video up til recently, but that's changed since social media arrived and video is now required both to hack the communal brain of the web itself, but also because its simply faster for people who are ADHD as a lifestyle (basically everyone under 35 or so). I guess where I admire folks like you is that you are clearly not doing this as your primary income stream which is why i don't have my work on TH-cam (where it's free...) but it also forces you create inside of parameters people will pay for, which isn't always inspirational, so obviously there are trade offs. In any event, if you want to move this out of the realm of public-facing conversation on youtube comments and toward email and then who knows. mine is geargeekPDX on gmail (also not my main acct..) if you care to widen the aperature of our contact. And yes, the Merriest of Christmases to you as well, Miss Heidi, and I shall look for you "here and there" (and back again?). 🥰
