A tip for dual hammers that Warm Gun didn’t mention is his video is: You don’t have to do a push attack into heavy every time you wanna kill an elite, if you do a block cancel (right clicking once to reset attack patterns) after you’ve done Heavy 1 (Dual overhead attack) you can keep repeating Heavy 1 on an elite for great damage. It’s great at killing armoured enemies quicker. Also, it doesn’t consume stamina so doesn’t interrupt your stamina regen.
That's not even that fast when you compared to the actual fastest, which is doing a QQ cancel. Basically, you use heavy attack, and then you quickly switch your secondary and then switch back to your dual hammers. And you do another heavy
Funnest build for dwarf ranger is using Last Resort + Drunken Brawler with Greataxe and Throwing axes. Throw all your axes in the ground at the start of the mission to get Last Resort and pretend you are a slayer. You can resummon axes back at you if you really need them to kill special or if boss shows up.
Dude, your videos rock. I'm a new player, having these guides are a big help when it comes to understanding characters and hearing experienced players talk about the game really enlighten what I'm doing wrong. Keep up the good shit man
Favorite weapon is the one handed hammer. Lots of stamina. Good dodge. Saw 2 dude play cata fow on cata 3 deathwish and beat it. Ranger vet and shade. Vet took agro with the one handed hammer and shade took everything out.
1H Hammer is so _easy_ to use, it's great! Decent cleave with the push-attack, acceptable strikedown heavy for anti-armour _and_ it's non-DLC. _Chef's kiss!_ 🤌🔥
A point on melee, I like using coghammer over dual hammers because it's incredibly quick and easy. The combo for crowds? Light, light, light, repeat. The combo for elites? Heavy, heavy, repeat. (With blocks and dodges as necessary.) It does have a lower total output than dammers but the simplicity of it allows for quick switching between range and melee to take out specials so everyone else can focus on horde clearing or boss stomping.
Late on this but, coghammer is less dps on hordes but much higher damage on armor elites, the downside is just the low mobility on chain light attacks with no movetech. On a low mobility class like ranger vet the dual hammers are usually considered better. BUT, when running a high horde clear low armor damage ranged weapon such as crossbow or grudgeraker, the coghammer puts you much more versatile and less teammate dependent.
If you take firing fury and master of improvisation you can decimate hordes with the crossbow Or you know, pretty mich anything as long as rhere are two enemies behind each other
Breakpoints are a huge mechanic in Vermintide 2 and this is only the second time I have ever heard anyone talk about it in a video. -Btw for the Masterwork Pistol if you replace power vs Monsters with Power vs Chaos, you can 1-shot Bestigores. And hey, you still deal more damage to Chaos Monsters (3 out of 5 Monsters since Minotaurs are of the Chaos faction) -The Masterwork Pistol and the Handgun have basically the same breakpoints (even down to the 10% power vs Chaos for Bestigores) -RANDOM FUN FACT: Did you know the Ranger Veteran is one of three careers that can supply Damage Reduction, Attack Speed and health buffs to their allies (Grail Knight and Merc)? -Never knew about Ranger's Parting Gift, that's really cool! Love your video! Hope I can randomly run into you in one of your Cataclysm games sometime!
I always like to go full support on this guy with 3 2 1 3 2 1, Healer's touch, Proxy, and Grenadier, Masterwork for boss damage and special clearing, and a shield to make sure I don't regret picking healshare. The smoke bombs also make up for it quite well, and RNG tends to favour me with 4 times use of heal items quite often. I haven't tried it on Cata, but this definitely keeps the team alive and healthy on Legend. Just don't expect to get green circles for your kills. That's not quite the realm of shield and hammer I'm afraid.

since my GF start playing Vermintide2 she really like to play Kerillian, because of the bow. So i start playing Ranger Bardin and it is alot of fun. i like the hunt for elites and the smokebomb to save someone.
My favourite thing to do is pop Ultra, use (Concoction) potion and spam fire pistol at Patrols and Monsters. Scavenger is my go to. Much fun to be had using Ranger Veteran.
Its nice to see new vermintide content this far into the game, considering how close darktide is to being in my hands. If you make more videos for the other classes. Leave waywatcher out of it. The only thing people need to know is stop shooting your team, and stop using your ult on pinkies.
I'd actually argue against the grudgebreaker, I have decimated loads of swarms with it, whether it be beastmen, skaven or chaos. It's not so good against bosses but I'd definitely argue it's SLIGHTLY better than Kruber's blunderbuss.
Hello 👋🏼 nice work you are doing here 👍🏼 , I use Ranger veteran with firing fury talent and a crossbow , it works just fine , I mean you get 15% Reload speed from the career and the talent 👌.
I gotta disagree with the throwing axes. It's definitely not meta, but it can 100% work in cata. you can play with last resort to melee buff yourself at will, just dump ur axes. Using ale and vapors can make the melee hurt way more, and if you are good at throwing them, conservative shooter gives you a supply of axes that only ends if you miss. Again, definitely not meta, but not worthless either.

Melee ranger supremacy

I use the 1 h Hammer too, i do think it is superior to the 2 handed Hammer in most situations. Optimal bonking and mobility
Yup, me too!

1h hammer its impressive too. More stamina, more dodge, Crit Chance on uppercut and really easy targeting heads. Super safe weapon for cata.
Best part is that you are faster while using block. Can actually escape when something is chasing you.
its the best melee weapon for bardin, this guide isnt rlly good tbh
its more like a personal preferance thing rather then a, this is the go to..
Rangers parting gift also gives you a buff that you keep even after using your ult
So you can ult and use your free bomb even after it ended
I just started with the free event on steam. Really enjoying Barin, and this was a great video! Thanks for all the new and useful information :)
If you take firing fury and master of improvisation you can decimate hordes with the crossbow
Or you know, pretty mich anything as long as rhere are two enemies behind each other
im addicted to your tide series content
Best bro in gaming. Get a nice kill? Have an ale, manling.
Chat GPT recommended this video for me lol

Is the packmaster breakpoint affected? I assume vs monster is there only for it
Ranger vet with that master work pistol is just way too much fun.

Love your content dude. Great informative commentary with an easy, casual vibe. I dig it man, lookin forward to future videos. Subbed 😎👍
Didn't know this game was so sofisticate, I always play dumb

Watched this vid now, thx mate

If you want more thp, use light attacks, then switch to the heavy combo to kill.
Paired with grailknights str pot making is even more fun.

Does proxy affect ale?
How do you get the dual hammers?
I reckon it's the Ubershreik dlc
Yeah, do all three missions in the Back to Ubersreik DLC as Bardin and you'll be able to unlock them in Okri's challenges

thx =)
This dude running grimnier's bomb in CW's is a fucking gidzilla. Dude be nuking ecerything every 2 minutes
Nice guide man. I love the masterwork pistol but goddamn does it do friendly fire and it can be very hard to avoid with team mates jumping around.
