Beautiful car. As someone who was a teenager in the 90's and was a big Glenn Seton fan, I will always have a soft spot for the EB to EL series Falcons. I was actually looking at buying an EF XR8 a few months back, but the example I saw was a bit too rough for the money being asked.

Oh man, this takes me back, I traded in my 1996 EF XR6 ute and bought the EL XR8 ute, 5 speed manual, brand new as soon as it came out in NZ which was 98. I still remember this car as being the quickest I have ever driven for the kW rating, I think factory the EL was 185 kW, but because it was light it really was great performing and handled phenomenal. The ute was only around 1500kg. Nice to see there are still some getting around. I drive a BF XR6T ZF6 now, love the FORDS. Oh yeah, and the Windsor is a beautiful motor, compact and very refined.

My ED XR8 Sprint is a ride I never plan on parting with, not much on the outside to pick them from the other XR versions but boy, they pack some serious mumbo for what they are. Another awesome review👍🏻. That is one super clean EF! These look great with the factory Tickford kit, not to mention extremely rare with a sunroof. Cannot go past the sound of the 302, they may not be impressive in stock 'HO' form, but decent alloy heads, cam, intake and full exhaust upgrades wake these up a fair bit👌🏼

Love this car, it's got so much character. The Windsor sounds fat, better than a Boss and way better than a LS. Poor thing would have been quicker if it wasn't on the fuck off Simmons, it's effectively geared down fairly hard (it needed third to get to 100) - on the standard wheels it would have gotten there in second and probably about a second quicker.

Mind you I had to upgrade a few things like the headlights weren't much chop and the brakes really required upgrade of calliper s and discs , then she stopped nicely ! That engine and driveline were good for 500k at least ! Nice to see the excellent condition.
