What a great sounding EF Falcon. It looks like it’s been very well looked after. You really did get some great reviews while in Melbourne. Looking forward to the rest of them.

Beautiful car. As someone who was a teenager in the 90's and was a big Glenn Seton fan, I will always have a soft spot for the EB to EL series Falcons. I was actually looking at buying an EF XR8 a few months back, but the example I saw was a bit too rough for the money being asked.
I still remember when the EL was new. It was my dream car for a long time. EF was nice in XR form too but its the only Falcon i have never owned from XD onwards along with fgx. Remember finally getting an EL and it was a brilliant time. Rock solid cars back in the day

Oh man, this takes me back, I traded in my 1996 EF XR6 ute and bought the EL XR8 ute, 5 speed manual, brand new as soon as it came out in NZ which was 98. I still remember this car as being the quickest I have ever driven for the kW rating, I think factory the EL was 185 kW, but because it was light it really was great performing and handled phenomenal. Love this car, it's got so much character. The Windsor sounds fat, better than a Boss and way better than a LS. Poor thing would have been quicker if it wasn't on the fuck off Simmons, it's effectively geared down fairly hard (it needed third to get to 100) - on the standard wheels it would have gotten there in second and probably about a second quicker.

Would like somebody to replace that Windsor V8 with a Shelby Mustang GT350R NA V8 engine with the 6 speed Manual into that. Keep the current tacho but cut the needle to allow it to spin well past the red line at 6.
Dam now you are making me sad,I made the mistake of selling mine same Blue ,it was always fun to drive especially when there were no boys/ girls in blue around ! That engine and driveline were good for 500k at least ! Nice to see the excellent condition.
I do like the look of mid 90s xr8s and the ss. But how Australian is the end of the video and nice skid next minute a random tractor drives past lol 😆 😂
When you went from EF, EL then AU XR 8 I let out an eww. The E series were so sharp looking in comparison. The AU has grown on me but the direct contrast reminded of how controversial it was.
@@RossReviewsau I still see ELs, and the odd EF and they still look really sharp if they're in good condition. Shows what a job they did with the rework in 94.
I remember looking at potentially buying one the same colour that was in pretty good shape and had reasonable kms (160k kms) not quite 10 years ago just before I was on my P’s but back then Victoria had that stupid blanket rule of no V8’s at all for P-platers so I gave it a miss and bought a ba xr6, I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of dealing with the police and getting in trouble if I was pulled over. Then of course not long after I was off my P’s they went back to the old power to weight ratio rule. But yeah the no V8’s for P-players back then was so stupid, as I also had a 1977 Xc wagon with a 351c that I was also “not allowed” to drive (still used to take it out on weekends), yet my xr6 was a lot quicker but i was allowed that. It just made no sense.
How's things Ross the el xr8 sprint was the best of the xr8's basically the same car as this one with abit of extra performance extras on top the tickford upgrades
I actually really like this car and agree with most, nearly all of what you say. It's just funny though... 5.0L V8 with 17X kW 😂😂😂. That's so bad HAHA. I'm no tree hugger, I have a V8 also but my new Fiesta ST and it's 3 cylinders will have more power and be high 5 sec to 100kmhr once it's tuned and completed it's run it procedure. They reckon 200kW at the hubs

I have an Ef xr6 in cobalt (C9), got 90% of the parts to adapt stock barra parts to replicate what StreetMachine did to an Au XR6
Ohh sounds interesting
The supercharger has a bypass & you will hear or feel a 'clunk' at about 2200RPM so its like a xr6t cruising around with under boost⁉️ Both in the garage but manuals😅‼️
Love the sound of it absolute legend
👑👌
Ef-el are one of the nicest falcons they made 👌
I want one eh
Sounds so good. Awesome video
Thanks bro
Drove my client xy gtho phase 3 yesterday , they handle bad but v8 sound like it on steroids why the worth so much
Beautiful car❤️ I have a 1997 xh xr6 in the same colour 😎 Thanks for sharing Ross, enjoy this video very much
Lucky glad you enjoyed it
Can someone explain "yeah bud" Simmons please iv herd it for years must be a story behind it
One of my most favourite falcons that looks good and sounds nice
I really enjoyed it too
Everyone is importing Japanese cars into the US but I really want to import one of these. Or a Commodore.
That’s what im talking about brother 👏🇦🇺
Really nice car, I wouldn't change a thing about it.
Me too 🥵👌
Would like somebody to replace that Windsor V8 with a Shelby Mustang GT350R NA V8 engine with the 6 speed Manual into that. Keep the current tacho but cut the needle to allow it to spin well past the red line at 6.
My first Falcon was an EF XR6. My first true love
Great cars
What a great example 👌 love it
Was bloody clean
Dam now you are making me sad,I made the mistake of selling mine same Blue ,it was always fun to drive especially when there were no boys/ girls in blue around ! Mind you I had to upgrade a few things like the headlights weren't much chop and the brakes really required upgrade of calliper s and discs , then she stopped nicely ! That engine and driveline were good for 500k at least ! Nice to see the excellent condition.
I don't care what anyone says. can't beat that 5ltr windsor sound 😍 I don't like Simmons but agree they look good on the e series!
The noise was on point eh
@@RossReviewsau better than a pair of boobs 🤣
I do like the look of mid 90s xr8s and the ss.
But how Australian is the end of the video and nice skid next minute a random tractor drives past lol 😆 😂
🤣 I was in hysterics.. the tractor 🚜 driver loved it also 🇦🇺👌
@@RossReviewsau haha so glad you left it in and he was cool about it 😎
Ross would u do a review on my hsv clubsport 650hp
Absolutely give us a pm on Insta or fb
Other than 1 pot brakes they were a pleasurable car to drive/own. Now try and find someone with a Tickford NL Fairlane for a drive!
Brakes are how ya going 🤣 but man was such a fun old car
This Falcon was the best body of all falcons in my opinion what I love about them is the front end the quad Circle head lights it looks mean AF.
I do quite like it eh..
@@RossReviewsau yes man the Toughest looking XR8 in my eyes
👁 👁
When you went from EF, EL then AU XR 8 I let out an eww. The E series were so sharp looking in comparison.
The AU has grown on me but the direct contrast reminded of how controversial it was.
I still love the AU but this was really cool to see loved the E series look
@@RossReviewsau I still see ELs, and the odd EF and they still look really sharp if they're in good condition. Shows what a job they did with the rework in 94.
YES!!!!!!!! E series FALCONS!!!
I loved it
@@RossReviewsau about bloody time mate haha hardly see this around probably one in my town
Awesome review as always bro, that beast looks absolutely mint. Dayum 🤘🤘🤘 love it 💯❤
Cheers bro
How's things Ross the el xr8 sprint was the best of the xr8's basically the same car as this one with abit of extra performance extras on top the tickford upgrades
I think your right for early model Fords here this E series was a winner
Great cars, definitely not throttle by wire through 😀
Ba was the first.
my bad then haha
Good launching man I like it
Cheers man!
Cool review !! really love the older ford v8's
Gotta love em eh
Yes yes yes! Now that's a beautiful car! 😍
Legendary
Love a nice v8 note
That Windsor 🥵
Maybe Ross should have let the owner do the 0_100 , the way he was driving it through those corners reckon he's all over it ,
He was flying around them corners 🤣
1:10 your Canadian really came out then🤣
🤣🇨🇦
I actually really like this car and agree with most, nearly all of what you say. It's just funny though... 5.0L V8 with 17X kW 😂😂😂. That's so bad HAHA. I'm no tree hugger, I have a V8 also but my new Fiesta ST and it's 3 cylinders will have more power and be high 5 sec to 100kmhr once it's tuned and completed it's run it procedure. They reckon 200kW at the hubs
Yeah, I get what you mean but you can't beat the sound of an old-school V8... Your Fiesta ST would sound bad in comparison....
@@MartinJones123 yeah but at least it's an I3 and if you remove the GFP and after market exhaust it's ok. The FGX XR8 doesn't though 😊.
Can't wait to hear the Give the Z06 with its NA flat plane crank
@@LawrenceAbramoff Still not the same as a V8...
Had an auto version not a Tickford got rid of after I found the chassis under the back of it was crushed due to some idiot using a forklift on it but now I'm Rockin a 1 of 166 1998 series 1 AU Fairmont 5ltr wagons B5 sparking burgundy with factory Tickford rims rare as Rockin horse shit but absolutely lovely to drive got stolen last year recently recovered but love it
Australia made some beautiful cars eh
Yep they did not anymore
