Really useful and detailed video. I love the care put into what you do. How long can you keep the fleece covers on for? I seeded with bent / fescue and I'm worried about removing them as animals will dig out the rootzone unless its fully covered. any bare spots look like a toilet to animals. The grass germinated in about 10 days but is still coming up. It's 17 gsm thickness so i'm hoping I can leave it on for 5 weeks until it needs cutting (2-3 inches height). Would that be ok to do?
Cracking video, really happy I found your channel. I have spent the last three weeks going back to zero in my lawn due to moss, weeds, poa, clover. You name it, it was in there. I have treated what left of the the lawn and what to start seeding and applying the jacks magic. Could I ask, what is the fabric you use to cover the seed bed and how long do you keep it down? Thanks.
Hi Dan , it’s April and I’ve just seeded and put jacks magic over the top and then fleeced. How long do I leave the fleece on for, and, is water supposed to bead on the top? I watered before and after sewing and then I’ve the fleece after fleecing
Hi Dan,thanks for those great videos. i want to ask you something. Becuase of cats digging my newly renovated lawn i decided to use fleece. so when do you leave the fleece? When you see the first sprouts or something else.
Is that a roll of cloth or a sheet of plastic that you put on at the end? Is that for birds and water run-off should it rain heavily? How long is that kept on?

Great video as always Daniel. Quick question, is it to late to remove my current lawn and lay new one? I started doing what you have done in the video but there is just too much POA/AMG to be patching. Just wondered was the fleece underlay on one of the projects just to stop worms? Will that not stop the root establishment? Yeah I know that but on one of the other renovations which had bad worm cast Dan put some under the root zone, just wondered how much soil would be needed on top of that?
Yes just for the worms, root depth might be affected but im hoping they will attach to it and grow through , doesnt look like its having a negative affect but deffo cured the worm issue

Horticultural fleece mate, I recently had to overseed about 80sq m of my lawn, covered it over in fleece and watered daily, was long enough to cut after just over 3 weeks, bits not under the fleece still not looking too good.

At this time of year yes
