Personally I like to watch a bit, and then come back later to finish. I think youtube's focus on "retention" doesn't quite suit the style of your videos, and that's fine. Don't drop the explanations, that's what we're here for!
I'd agree with another commenter on keeping the explanations and I personally like your calm relaxing style. Adjusting format is always a tricky endeavor, and I'm a musician not a youtuber so your mileage may vary with any suggestions I provide. For me, I do wonder if your format, which seems adapted somewhat from your older videos where you focus on just a few ideas, doesn't map perfectly onto a video with a larger number of ideas in it. The repetition of the same transitions became a little tired and affected the pacing for me as it made it feel more like a list than I think you were going for. One of my favorite aspects of your work is your explanation of how you came to an idea and how it fits in the pokemon world. It's a little harder when you're establishing assets that turn field moves into items (Something I personally have mixed feelings about). For example, the xtrem bike is one of the strongest parts of your video because it does all the things I love about your work, whereas some of the final hm items felt... I don't know, compulsory? You mentioning the rock climb boots being affixable to a pokemon made me think, oh wow, what if HMs were hold items? That's a different video but such an interesting and very substitube-like insight which is exactly the kind of inspiration I think you are wonderful at generating. (Evo methods would be cool btw, and feel free to go with this held item idea fufufu)

With regard to transitions and variation, I might think that you could just use your transitions less often! By grouping things through fewer transitions, it's easier to hold someone's attention for longer periods of time (even if it's in chunks!) I think your idea of making a lightning-round for more self-explanatory ideas is a wonderful way to cover those ideas as a group and possibly explore them as a larger concept too! This way, you also don't need to make more new transitions, and you can just phase items from the same set of ideas in and out as you need them. Again, sorry for coming off strong! Making videos, especially for a subject which no one else covers, is hard enough. I thought it was great, and I'm grateful you're out here!

I've got an idea for Freeze-Dry having out-of-battle functionality (similar to how Dig or Headbutt do), it allows you freeze water into ice allowing you to walk over it, and also to "freeze" lava into obsidian (because obsidian is made from rapidly cooled lava), also allowing you to cross. On top of this, I also imagine it being usable to freeze waterfalls into walls of ice, which you could then climb up with the Climbing Boots or Rock Climb, or some other method specifically for ice climbing. And as well, I also have an idea for Magcargo evolving into a third stage when Freeze-Dry is used on it in battle and it survives the battle, based on this same idea of obsidian, it becomes Fire/Ice type, gets faster and stronger (i.e. better stats overall), and gains an ability to absorb Rock type moves (like Volt Absorb for Rock), because it's using the rocks to rebuild its body (i.e. restore HP), this will also apply to Stealth Rock (meaning it restores up to half its max HP from Stealth Rock, as it'd normally be quad weak to Rock, and then they disappear from the field because they've been used up, and would need to be re-set to have them active again)
Evolution methods sounds interesting. I've heard a lot of good ideas over the years like releasing a mon to evolve it or having it follow you for a certain amount of time.
you're a very undderrated poketuber, you have great ideas, I'm on my alt so i'm subbing, didn't know you only had about 5k subs, a suggestion these are very good ideas, but you have to make the vid fun, throw jokes between items, make puns, make fan interactive's like reddit , and you're a small yter, you could make some new poke vids, as ideas take much time, and being a small yter, means you gotta be consistent, try other formats, maybe pokemon anime reviews, gameplay, stratergies for competitive (dont know you're a casual or a competitive but yea), your channel is in my list of top s tier poketubers tho
I have ideas considering the Legends of Arceus... the Sticky Glob. I believe there should be variants of it. 1: the long range Sticky Glob 2: the heavy sticky glob (for stronger Pokemon) 3: the fist sticky glob (you wear it like a boxing glove) 4: the anti-mystic sticky glob (for ghost, psychic, and dark Pokemon) 5: the ultra Sticky Glob (for legendary Pokemon).
Idea: New ways to obtain Pokemon. You can get Pokemon from catching, trades, gifts, eggs, fossils, and probably a few other ways I'm forgetting, so I'd love to hear how you could expand on these options!

I'd honestly love to see new evolution methods, especially if they're still possible to do via a casual player (I like those evolutions that don't force the player to jump through too many hoops in order to get them).

It is mostly used like the sticky glob. War ball: this is an evolved from of the sticky glob. Fighting Belt: wear this in a spacific area and a fighting pokemon will challenge you to some wrestling match. Robot Assistant: a robot that can uses pokemon like you. This will allow you to use more pokemon. Grapple line: a gauntlet that fires a grapple line to perform almost spiderman like moves. Spring loaded cage: after you defeat an evil team member, you can uses the cage to capture him and uses your pokemon to deliver him to the police. Pokemon Barn: don't trust a PC or a Pokemon daycare, have a barn at your house to do just that.
This idea is not exactly an item for you to use, most for the bad guys. A giant Mecha (seen in the anime). A giant robot suit rampaging around the area. The best way to defeat it is have your pokemon use hop to board it. You challenge the pilots to a Pokemon battle then deactivate the generator.
This is an idea for an item. Love Handkerchief. Giving this handkerchief is a camaraderie of two individuals of the opposite gender. Giving this signifies there strong closeness and the possibility of one day having children with one another. This is mostly inspired by the two great love interests in the pokemon anime (Misty and Serena). Both had significant moments that involve giving a handkerchief to Ash.
Have some other ideas for items. Carro-nut: a combination of a carrot and a peanut. Like the peanut it is used to substitute protein, appeasing the carnivores without meat. Nedo-berry: this Berry is used to restore the fertility to the nedioran evolution family. Human females are discouraged from eating it... unless you like the idea of having big families...if you know what I mean. Patrona-orbs: strange spiritual orbs that say contains happy thoughts. Used to feed ghost Pokemon. Black Ball: best described as what is to Pokemon as the back spot was to Treasure Island. Evil pokemon teams give these to whoever they plan to terminate.
*Repair Kit:* Adds a chance that pokéballs that fail to catch the target are retrieved. _"Saved the ball to repair later!"_ *Medical Textbook:* Makes healing items more effective. Useful if Hidden Power is given more importance, or just to have good coverage.)

Stunner: an energy gun that is able to stun certain pokemon. Magno Gun: a magnet gun used to attract or repel metallic objects. Grappler line: a gauntlet that fires a grapple line to go through the pokemon world like spiderman
Got another idea for items. Robotic body parts. You can only purchase them right after you get defeated by either a wild Pokemon or an evil team member. You can choose to have a robotic arm, leg, or eye. The price won't make it feel like it cost an arm and a leg... well metaphorically.
Maybe you should make new types of items that give you new Pokémon kind of like fossils but things like computer chips or even undead Pokémon Frankenstein style.
This sounds fun. Off the top of my head, the only other ones I can think of are haunted items that need to be exorcised to get a Ghost pokemon and maybe ancient pokeballs that have been sealed shut
New evolution ideas? Wild Edit: The first 5 items are crazy good for postgame and I think they should have been implemented years ago, even if they’re only rewards for getting hundreds of BP in Battle Facilities.
i always liked the idea of giving cut more utility as a move, for example having a secondary effect that makes it so the next move used against the opposing pokemon does increased damage, this would be more useful in doubles but i think it could be interesting. it could also simply be like a steel type brick break or a steel type move thats super-effective against grass type pokemon.
