This song is just bananas. Those riffs give me tons of boost, really infectious. Then Tomi's voice...c'mon guys he's one of the best metal voices in the business, no doubt about. Album just pre-ordered, looking forward to listen the entire tracklist.
Now we are talking! Was kinda worried after the first single but this is pure awesome Amorphis. Getting some Under the red clouds and Queen of Time vibes on this one
I really don't get why everyone is kinda critical of "The Moon", that song is so beautiful and in my opinion, worthy of standing side by side with House of Sleep as a future showstopper for Amorphis concerts. This aside, On the Dark Waters has grown on me very fast as well, so I'm not complaining and I'm still very firm in my conviction that Halo will be the album everyone else will have to measure up in 2022, when it comes to what's the best album of that year.
Tomi's transitions from harsh vocals and back again continue to astound me. They're smoother than any one else I've ever heard. As always guys thanks for an interesting and in depth review. Halo is almost here!! 🎸🎙🎵🎵
Held out listening to this so I could see your reaction and get excited at the same time as Antonio. Fantastic song!! Got the vinyl set ordered, figure it will get to Canada by June lol.
I can tell this album has a flow, because The Moon sounds great after On The Dark Waters. Can't wait to hear Northward and the rest of the album next week!
Well, they had "Progfart" working title on one of the tracks, so that gave a hint there might be more of that coming up on this album. Love those eSitar riffs on this one, gives great kebab vibes.
Just saw them live a few days ago. Heard this live. Great band, great live performance, get the hell out there and see them live, they deserve the support and should be playing much bigger venues. PS. The moon is definitely a kick ass track and should be a single.
Next time, you speak to Tomi, could you suggest him, that Amorphis makes an album with all of their bonus tracks (also with the ones in the japanese special Edition). Will be great I think! Thx in advance;-)
Thanks for the channel! On this album it's nice to hear Oppu on the production (more than the Queen Of Time's one song) Love the album. It grows on you like a good one should. Like all the bands the boys have been a part of along side of Amorphis, one s should check out Barren Earth. Waiting for the time when I can tour with the band on the new album with my wife. (when they are playing resonably near, got 5 kids and two dogs) A fan from the beginning of times. Espan Hevikioskilta.
I personally like the moon better. But still this song is a close one, so good. Both songs just get better every time you listen to it again. Shows so much talent. Still get goosebumps from both songs every single time
i have LP version of this album and i love to hear The album first time on LP form so i hear all The songs and in order. When its on LP form its hard to skip or jump tracks 😂
Anticipating this album for sure....Tomi's Vocals sound in top form and never better here! I'm thinking this guy must drink a lot of the finest of superb exquisite exotic exported tea's and definitely does not smoke or drink to keep that vocal box golden. yeah i wasn't thrown off by the sitar sound in this song, some of their earlier stuff had elements of middle eastern and asian sounds (beginning of "better unborn" comes to mind)
Absolutely adore this! If Halo isn't as good as Queen Of Time, I'll be very surprised. And the Middle East vibe was used to great effect on Death Of A King.
After listening to Halo for a few months now I can honestly say that to me it’s better than Queen of Time, and that’s saying something. Incredible vocals and melodies, no other band is capable of writing material this astonishing. I was listening to this non stop through the early stages of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and it’ll forever make me think of what the Ukrainians have gone through and are still going through, so much emotion in this album.
Love this song! Definitely better than The Moon. Why do people keep calling this stuff proggy? It's very standard structure plus a sitar... Not thinking that qualifies as prog (which is fine!). This album as a whole is far more straightforward than Queen of Time, in my estimation. It still is incredible and stands up to the last two albums very well!! These guys can't write a bad song! Near the climax, it reminded me of The Bee's climax, where the music is very layered.
The Moon was a good, solid and very Amorphis single. Nothing wrong with it but nothing really grabs me hard. However, this one had me from the first listen - it's a really good track IMHO and I can't wait to check out Halo.
How? The only proggy part is the sitar solo, which is FANTASTIC, but it doesn't even really connect to the rest of the song too well IMHO... Apart from the solo everything is 4/4, very predictable and very standard in terms of song structure. No surprises here at all. It's still a great catchy track, don't get me wrong - but apart from the solo part, I cannot honestly see anything progressive about it...
If you ask your son a question, let him finish and don't put words in his mouth. I like how he's transformed from a shy kid into a young man with his own opinions and interesting insights. I agree about the growls giving the sitar-driven bridge a nice groove. IMO the track is ok, but the only proggy part really is the sitar solo in the bridge, which goes against all the press releases I have heard. I actually found the Moon more interesting structure-wise. This is still great, it's Amorphis, but I was expecting much less predictable songwriting...
As a HUGE Amorphis fan, especially the last decade, this album lost me. They're not innovating anymore and they're putting out way too many "filler tracks". They created a formula back on Skyforger, it worked for a few albums, and it's starting to get noticeable and old.
I am missing the balanced heaviness that Amorphis had in all their phases...this sounds like a dark rock band with harsh vocals...both songs a disappointment for me so far :-(
Agreed! Not for me. If their old stuff is black coffee then comparatively this is 80% milk. Mut toisaalt en muista millo viimeks tykkäsin koko albumista niiltä:/
This song is just bananas. Those riffs give me tons of boost, really infectious. Then Tomi's voice...c'mon guys he's one of the best metal voices in the business, no doubt about. Album just pre-ordered, looking forward to listen the entire tracklist.
Amorphis is back with another masterpiece.
Now we are talking!
Was kinda worried after the first single but this is pure awesome Amorphis. Getting some Under the red clouds and Queen of Time vibes on this one
A great song from one of the best metal bands in the world! 💙Amorphis 💙🇬🇷
Amorphis, such a glorious band!
I really don't get why everyone is kinda critical of "The Moon", that song is so beautiful and in my opinion, worthy of standing side by side with House of Sleep as a future showstopper for Amorphis concerts. I don’t get it either especially because they stated this album was going to be more relaxed in a way. I still personally think it’s good ole Amorphis
Finally! Been waiting this reaction for days😄🤘🏼
Amazing song! And the vocals are one of the best in the genre🤟
Really looking forward to the album now, this song is incredible really pulls you in and makes you drift away.
Amazing Amorphis 🔥
I love those 2 guys ! And I love Amorphis 🎁
Feeling is mutual

Thank you guys! Great as always! You and the song/band!
Great track thank you for playing it 😗
I can tell this album has a flow, because The Moon sounds great after On The Dark Waters. Can't wait to hear Northward and the rest of the album next week!

It's great, I'm looking forward to the album 🔥🤘🙌✨

It's a masterpiece. Guys finger crossed I would be able to see them in Bulgaria in the summer. Sending lots of love
Well, they had "Progfart" working title on one of the tracks, so that gave a hint there might be more of that coming up on this album. Love those eSitar riffs on this one, gives great kebab vibes.
Kebab metal is my favorite, Myrath is great example of this divine genre.
My favorite song ever! 💥🤘
Да..Как всегда очень круто.
Слушаю их больше 20 лет .супер группа !!!!!!!!ждём альбом
This song was definitely intriguing and really makes me want to hear the rest of the album. Has some elements similar to Death Of. A King.
Just saw them live a few days ago. Heard this live. Great band, great live performance, get the hell out there and see them live, they deserve the support and should be playing much bigger venues.
PS. The moon is definitely a kick ass track and should be a single.
Best song on the album in my opinion🤘🏼
It's Amorphis it's good
Next time, you speak to Tomi, could you suggest him, that Amorphis makes an album with all of their bonus tracks (also with the ones in the japanese special Edition). Will be great I think! Thx in advance;-)
Some of their bonus tracks are my favourite songs! :)
@@dmphax Same here. I always get the Japanese versions if I can, but even they do not have ALL the bonus tracks (e.g.Circle). :(

Thank you for watching our videos.
Such a masterpiece

This song 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯
Soooo good❣️🤘🏻

i have LP version of this album and i love to hear The album first time on LP form so i hear all The songs and in order. When its on LP form its hard to skip or jump tracks 😂
The lyrical content alone is beyond epic!
Anticipating this album for sure....Tomi's Vocals sound in top form and never better here! I'm thinking this guy must drink a lot of the finest of superb exquisite exotic exported tea's and definitely does not smoke or drink to keep that vocal box golden.

You have such great patrons. Amazing suggestions all the time
Absolutely adore this! If Halo isn't as good as Queen Of Time, I'll be very surprised.
And the Middle East vibe was used to great effect on Death Of A King.
Diablo just released new song called "The Stranger", you should check that out! Reminds me a lot of this video. Great review btw! 🤘🏻
Nice song and nice review. 😎🤘
Yet another clip proving, that even with minimal effort you can make nice video. BTW, why nobody decided to make open air music festival in winter?
I like the idea. WinterFest Open Air
That was great. I'm not going to request that same song I keep requesting this time out of respect to this one.
Fan depuis 1997 ! 😱😅🇫🇷❤️
You guys should check out Kludde - "Kasteelke van Verdoemenis" OR "Poesjkapelle"! They are a VERY small band from Belgium! :D
After listening to Halo for a few months now I can honestly say that to me it’s better than Queen of Time, and that’s saying something. This was a much better song than the previous single. Love that murky forestry atmosphere.
They said they were going proggier and they delivered. Not on level that would scare the folk or death metal fans

Love that cat with eye lasers t-shirt - what is the band?
Nahaya
I didn't actually hate their last song, but this one is more like it🔥🔥!!
Not bad! Wasn’t keen on the clean vocals but overall the growls and instrumental was awesome 🤘🏻

queen of time thier best i think
Not bad. Black winter day is better 🤔😊
WEB-Dark web
Ask, then let him give his take, my lord!!!
Tell me about it. Bald man sucks.
I think i heard some system of a down in there!!! :D

Good that it’s different from qot! I’m a longtime fan and qot is my least fav album. Thanks guys for the video.
I am missing the balanced heaviness that Amorphis had in all their phases...this sounds like a dark rock band with harsh vocals...both songs a disappointment for me so far :-(
Nothing special unfortunately . This band used to be something special . Now is one of many. Just boring.
Agreed! Not for me. If their old stuff is black coffee then comparatively this is 80% milk. Mut toisaalt en muista millo viimeks tykkäsin koko albumista niiltä:/
