Anyway I went to manipal (bragging rights),that place is known for its unbeatable hostel facilities yet I complain . cause lets be honest no matter what quality of facilities provided nothing absolutely beats home food . and I think most of the hostel students will resonate with me since at one point the taste buds will get fed up with hostel food irrespective of the variety.

english and hindi are official languages of india....
English is the only language u can communicate through out India. Otherwise every state has their own language

best thing about electricity black out when I was in the hostel is that we all hostel-mate came out of room, dances,play singing games, curses a lot don't know whom and some halloween stuffs, Too much fun .

Electricity blackout is the best thing ever
U definately sweat a lot, but since India has small gardens or playgrounds near our areas or more plants nearby we get to see the fireflies everywhere.These bugs glows so beautifully at the dark night. And its so beautiful in that time when the whole area does not have light and there is no light pollution u can actually take a walk on the balcony or at the rooftop feel the breeze and see fireflies all around nature.U can also hear mothers of the next appartment talking to each other through balconies about food just chit-chatting.U can see neighbours gather togather to chat down at the playground in a distance.U can also see mainly men sitting under a tree chatting around waiting for the lights to come.And small candle lights in the room makes it so mysterious.For the moment time slows down and it becomes quite.😊
India is a tropical country which has lots of sunshine thoungh out the year(almost) and the average temperature of 28°C(approx calculations, varies with regions) . After bathing Indian people hang/dry their towels directly to the sun, which takes care of bacteria and virus. Indian people usually wash their towels more frequently(depends on the person). Since hostelers or college students are lazy wrt cleasness(No disrepect).

Having uniforms and dress code in India is not universal. It depends on Universities. In my college we have no specific dress code unless it's not professional course like law or Management. And also we have no time restrictions for entering Universities. Our gates are open 24/7. It might be different in other colleges.

Another cool video about Koreans living in India.. so cool to know about their experience in our country. After having lived in hostel, I could connect with her about the time restrictions.
Right now,I live in Mumbai! But, I have worked in Bangalore too and Delhi. I don't know if you have interviewed any Korean living in Mumbai.
Well, about the towel changing incident that's quite surprising... coz I lived in Delhi hostel and I changed towels daily.. my friends changed daily too... we are very conscious about hygiene in India. That's a wrong notion about India! India is a great country with lot of diversity... colour.. but we stay together as one big family!
That's why India exhibits UNITY IN DIVERSITY!
We treat guest as God and hence we say ATITHI DEVO BHAVA.

I love learning about different cultures... keen on Korean culture...
I found that Koreans show a lot of respect towards the elders of the family.... very similar to India.

We do use the towel for a month and only change our towels after one or two months.
She is right about her experience as a culture shock even I am having a culture shock after listening that Koreans change their towels very often. I didn't knew about it at all .

yes during heavy rains the electricity distribution junction of a particular area shuts down power supply for the area. This is actually a good safety practice. Sometimes in India rains are so heavy that the trees fall and pull down transmission cables transmitting alternating current on high voltage (69 kV, 115 kV, 230 kV, 500 kV, 765 kV) which could prove fatal if it comes in contact with any human body or animal.

Just imagine 800 million people using internet in India, obviously there will be huge traffic in network and will be slow as compared to Korea . But I do agree South Korea is very much advanced when it come to technology.

I think it totally depends on the college for some of the points the girl said. In my college, no professor checks any ID. You can enter the college any time you wish. And there's no dress code. This is true in most national/state colleges/universities

What a surprise to find this YT video. 1) surprising that there are quite a few Koreans living in India for many years 2) after their initial adjustment period their opinions are largely positive. All in all, a very interesting video. One can also sense that their English has an Indian touch!
