Because my viewers are apparently all double TAG-enjoying degenerates whom I treasure greatly, today we're looking at two double TAG lists - firstly a list breakdown of a double Tikbalang list, and secondly playing a game with a double Squalos Mk-2 game against WhiteCo.

Hey, I have no idea if you will see this but I was wondering what the best starting list would be for varuna. I've got nothing for them yet. I know it's 3 helots. Thanks for all the great content Robert!
There are a few lists I like for Varuna and I cover a few of them on the channel, but I think this is probably my favourite all-rounder Varuna list. It can struggle a bit with heavy armour (fighting an enemy TAG can be a bit of work) but it manages to fit a fairly complete specialist and firepower package and fits my favourite personal bit of varuna tech, double grenade launchers (which I think work well in Varuna because you want to be able to attack an enemy in a way that forces them to come to you, and also solve problems like Massai Morans on rooftops). It'll be a bit technical to learn but I think I could play this kind of list for a long time and keep finding new things to do with it: aQZ2YXJ1bmEBIIEsAgEBAAsAhnMBAQAAhLkBBAAAhMABBAAAAQECAAABAQMAAAEBCQAAAQEKAAABAQEAAA8BAQAAJQEBAACExgEIAAIBAAUAhnMBAgAAEwEBAACExgEIAACExgEIAACDpwECAA%3D%3D
If you wanted something that was a bit more new player friendly in the sense of fewer moving parts, go through any of the Varuna games on my channel looking for a list with a Cutter Lt. The only rule with a cutter is to always set aside two orders at the end of every round to move it back to a safe place and re-camo, and stay camouflaged until your next active turn. It's a very powerful list and relies on less technical complexity, so you can probably reach a comfort level with it more quickly. And there's nothing the Cutter can't gunfight in active turn.
Ethan here, apologies for adding to the PANO brain rot train but I am a stereotype and I do love my tags. Tanks a bunch this has given me slot of fresh ideas. Good to know I was on some similar wavelength but you mange to save alot more points and get more efficient specialist and hackers than me. Thanks!
Update: Just to return to this list, as you could guess versions of this list punishes factions that cannot setup/support a hacking network. In fairness I have only played this in resilience ops and I haven't faced much smoke. But I'd say it's a list all about 1) Making room for TAGs with hackers 2) The tags making room for specialists 3) Completing those mid board objectives. Running the TAGs in a duo also helped keep them very order efficient.
@@Donnergraf i have never ever actually managed that. I have some veteran meta here and they see through all my beginners tricks. Bad rolls does not help either LOL.
Hey Rob, i was wondering if you were open to doing a unit reveiw for some sectorials? I am super keen to get your insite into JSA, Hassasind and or USAriadna
Hey Jesse - every year or two I do a review of every faction in the game. The last one was in 2023 but it's not terribly out of date yet - you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/WszrJnZ_qV4/w-d-xo.html
I feel bad being that guy, but the climb rule states that you cannot leave a model into the climbing position unless It has climbing+. You have to fully place the base on an horozontal surface
Nah, you can end on a wall- the only qualifier is that you must end your movement on a surface equal or larger than your base. The ends on flat surface thing just means you can't continue moving after finishing the vertical movement.
@@trenchdeep I guess I misinterpreted the part about the ending condition of the climbing movement on the wiki, following the last pdf update. Re-reading it, I see I was wrong, my apologies
Great report as always, but how would you deal with heavy armor using this list? Do you find the MMR squalo to be enough to deal with something like a main battle TAG on ARO duty?
It's easy to assume you need AP rounds to engage an enemy TAG on ARO, but the regular HMG squalos is surprisingly capable of forcing one to keep its head down even if you can't get the Marksman Rifle in range. It's not necessarily ideal, but the tradeoffs overall feel ok, especially since an enemy MBT is generally a relatively inefficient piece at pushing through a Helot defence.
Yet anothert great battle report... Thank you. You're running out of PanOceanian sectorials to play with... Eventually we'll see you stearing Military Orders...
